Ascended Items and Transmutation?
Wait, does this include Back Pieces as well? Does that mean I can’t wear my Quaggan backpack when I finally do get an Ascended back piece?

It works on back items as for the other trinkets rings and amulets they do not show up when you equip them so why would you want to transmuted them? You must realize that all ascended rings and amulets are unique items by letting you changes there names you could put 2 of the same rings on (you can do it as is if one has been build in infusion and the other dose not so it seems its name base). They seems to want you to have one def and one offensive for the rings if you want the same buffs on both rings.

I just want to be able to change the names; I’d love to have, say, Khilbron’s Phylactery on my necromancer for flavor/lore, but I need zerker stats. I understand the (possible?) problem with doubling up offensive/defensive infusion slots, but honestly is that really a big deal? Especially with things like versatile infusions which can already go in either?
I’ve been wondering if you transmute ascended items, taking the skin from the item and the stats from an exotic, will the item still upgrade in the future as ascended items are supposed to do?
For example, If i want the staff “The Crossing” but I want condition, precision, toughness stats on it instead so I transmute it to get the exotic stats, will it upgrade?
If not, then I’ll likely just skip it entirely for now.
