The changes aren’t set in stone yet (I mean, they’re most likely going to happen, but the actual changes themselves aren’t set in stone), so worrying about them now is like worrying about humanity ending in the future. It’s going to happen, but it’s not anywhere near happening so stop worrying so much about it (although for humanity slowing down how much we abuse our planet is a different matter that shouldn’t be ignored).
Back from the tangent, all I can say is to just not worry about what is going to happen. Arenanet will figure something out that will not punish players that have MF sets.

Well I think it is good to voice concern early, because even the devs may miss an issue or consider it not important enough to deal with, by voicing our concerns we make clear in which way certain things matter to us.
There is a feedback forum where you can list this concern, and trust me you’re not the first. I wouldn’t worry too much about it though. They did mention that they would compensate people who had magic find gear somehow.

I’m pretty sure they will refund you your laurels… as soon as you return not only the amulet and infusion, but also all drops and gold you got with them.
Seriously, it’s not like you didn’t get anything from your MF gear – and you can still use it to farm, because he change hasn’t happened yet.
Besides, they first said they are contemplating changes to MF in January. They were talking about removing it from armor as far as two months ago. It was long enough time for anyone to be prepared for it.

Greetings Anet and other Heroes of Guild Wars 2! Recently I have read over the future changes plus new content this game will receive and I am excited. One thing that I am really worried about is my Amulet I recently bought for farming purposes.
I did see there will be a system in place to replace the magic find item, but I didn’t see anything about infusions in ascended gear. I know its super early to be worried about this but am I just kittened and wasted my laurels? I was thinking about putting in a ticket to see if i could get a refund but I’m not sure what Anet is exactly planning on to do XD.

I’m 90% sure that the mf items that will be effected are only going to be the armors and weapons using them as a main stat… not a refund on all the things that have MF as a boost (runes/infusions/etc..) They don’t want to totally take MF away from the game they just want to keep it off as a stat line on equipment.
Really! so when they Nerfed my stand tall war build on the last patch and i had just spent 20gold buying the armor set and they then made changes do you think they sent me my gold back as i no longer use the armor??

The armor still gives the same stats that it was meant to though, don’t get me wrong, that sucks, but I don’t think an armor/gear set becoming less effective to a certain class is the same as an all around gear stat removal.

I aggree with you it is not the same as stat removal but i my point shoudl still stand. Igot it as i needed it for a build which they then changed the stats and key elements that made me need that gear so i now have a second set of armor i dont need or is useless to me, had i known of the changes I would not have aquired the set. So the same basic principle is still there just not the scale of the result. I dont mind that this happened its part of life but others asking for refunds when it happens should not be given preferential treatment either.
Yea I did miss that post about this change on MF months ago…. oh well ill just have to wait and see then. Thanks for the advice peeps.
