This is old news. Need to buy one offensive and on defensive in order to have two with the same stats.
At least one of your alts can have one now.
Welp you live and you learn. Thanks guy =)

What you can do is infuse one of the rings so you can use both. In the mean time you can just save up for another ring. GL

really? i did not know this, meaning if i have two ettin band rings, to use both, i should infuse the other one to equip both?

It’s “unique” which means you can only wear one. Has been like that for over 20 years in many different games. I’m sorry you didn’t know it yet, but everyone has to learn it sometime.

Yes. Ettin Band is an unique item, which in GW2 means you can’t use more than one at the same time. Ettin Band (infused) is counted as a separate item, however, so you can use it alongside the uninfused one (you cannot use two infused together, though).

Actually, the definition of “unique” changes from game to game. I can remember several differend meanings offhand – if i looked closer, i’m sure i’d find several more. In GW1, for example, it was reserved for “named” items.
