Are ascended trinkets worth using if they don’t use upgrade slots? Normally exotic rings and such gain a large amount of stats from the upgrade slot, but I can’t really tell if ascended rings are balanced with that already taken into consideration and have boosted stats from the get-go, or if I have to do something specific to be able to upgrade them.

Please clarify?

EDIT: Actually that does seem to be already taken into consideration…

Huh. Apologies for the waste of space on the forums, everyone! ^^

When they were first introduced they actually had their stats separated but after a while they patched it so all stats are displayed as one (rather than X1 X2 X3 and then another list of the ‘gem stats’) so a basic ascended trinket is better than an exotic that already has a gem. Plus you can add +5 to another stat (and agony/wvw buff) on top of that by using infusions.
