Necklace => laurels
Accessories => guild missions
Weapons => craft + T7 + time gating
i doubt any player will be able to get an ascended armor before at least 1 week.
GW2 balance:
A PvE player is supposed to avoid a 1-2 second 1 shotting aoe.
A WWW player is considered uncapable of avoiding a 5,75 second aoe for half his health.

unlikely… people had ascended weapons within 24 hours of the patch. I guess it might take a week to get a full set of armor, but I doubt that. I suspect they will only add in the time gated cloth. The other 2 mats are a possibility, but seem more fitted for jeweler than tailor.

It will probably the same day the patch is live that someone has their ascended armor. Do not underestimate the level of farming people have done for this.
You can get ascended armor day one if you wanted to, the time gate materials are also trade-able on the TP. Cost way more money than necessary but this is how some of us roll. Personally saving money is just as if not more effective than producing money when you have amassed wealth, so I will be taking it one step at a time, only thing I might buy that I wouldn’t be required to is some cloth mats.
That being said, this is meant to be a long term goal that takes the average player multiple weeks to get. If you are stressed to the point you are actually losing sleep you may want to seek professional help.
Funny part is that i usually play condition spec and ascended weapon doesn’t really help kitten, but still the fact that i don’t have ascended weapon makes me crazy.

A little while ago, one of the devs said not to delete ascended materials (like bloodstone dust), because it was going to be used soon. Since there’s no news about anything new, maybe armor takes like 10x the requirements of those materials, but probably not.

Ya, no one was able to get a weapon in a single day. The ectoplasm refinements are on a 8 hour timer and you need more than 3 of any one of them to make a weapon…and they are account bound, so no getting them off the TP

Difference between exotic jewel and ascended one is big enough to be “mandatory” so now, with ascended weapon + armor……
I mean, logicaly ( yes logicaly, because GW2 is became a random gear grinding mmo ) GW is meant to put forward the ability of a player to play smart, and not the “look i have a more powerfull stuff that asked me to farm xxxxx hours” i win.
E.G in WvW if you do a fight against someone in full ascended and if you are full exotic, this personn will still have XX% more chance to win because of a more powerfull stuff.
So the smartest players wont necessary win because his oponent will have a better stuff.
whatever if its only 1% boost or 50% that’s against GW “spirit”
Especialy when they ask you to farm XXXXXX hours, and when you DONT have choice.
So yeah, its mandatory to keep be equal to everyone.
Of course, if a player only do pve, that will not necessary be a issue

You might want to learn about ascended crafting before trying to call people out…
The earliest weapon I know of for ascended was a guildy – less than two hours after the patch he had a drop. I assume it’ll roll that way for the armour as well.

Note that you could get the weapons from super-rare drops of ascended weapon chests.
Also, BD – dust not bricks – is now used in crafting ascended back pieces.

Sorry, I forgot the Ingots and Dowels were not account about. Which makes it kind of silly to have the ectoplasm materials account bound. Of course instead of being hateful about it you could of just pointed that out…guess that’s why I sometimes hate these forums…

Yes if they got one of those chest things…but certainly not from crafting.
Quite the opposite. There were people with crafted weapons on day one. Yes, they used a lot of money for this “achievement”, and neeeded to heavily farm for few hours to get the vision crystal, but it is definitely possible.
It’s just the price moves then from way overblown to ridiculous.
