Will we ever be able to do anything with these rings that are piling up or, would I be better off with the gold Id get from vendoring? Same question for pristine relics.

It is sort of funny… But I would imagine most people (myself included) are still lugging around a full bank tab or more of the rings, in the hopes they are worth something more than 4 silver. You hate to vendor 30 of them only to find out they can be used for something useful in the future. They are pink after all.

if they ever become useful, it will be the day after you vendored them. that’s how it works.

not all of my alts get exotic armor (only if they can use the AC stats), but they do get nice ascended rings ;-)

Its worth holding onto some rings for alts.
Now i would love to see them let us brake down ascended items into ecto and t6 mats.

i have 54 rings now and my bank is mad. If anet does nothing next patch %#^$&^$&&@*$

I started selling Ascended rings to vendors…
I think that Fractal, being the “endgame” of PvE, should reward all forms of Ascended gear not just rings.

They could let us salvage them, but no. I mean we get guaranteed rares daily thanks to the world events, so why can’t they change it so unwanted ascended rings can be salvaged into ecto as well.

I think I’d rather be able to salvage them for vials/globs/shards of essence so that I can infuse the rings I really want to use. Or maybe for Pristine tokens, to buy the items you’d want to put on alts.

I just want a full set of (2 rings and then one of everything else) im not sure why you need 30+ lol.

We don’t “need” 30+, we just get them when playing Fractals. Starting level 10, you get a chance at a (random) daily ring in the reward chest ; starting 20, the ring can be infused.

And if you don’t get a ring, you get a Pristine token ; 10 of these get you the ring you want.

The problem is… the rewards are random, so before you drop a ring you want (with the stats / infusion slot you need) for your build, you’ll have 20+ in your bank. Some will go to your alts, but there’s a point you just have too many you can’t use in any way

The problem isn’t just the rings I have many pristine relics that I can only buy more rings with and mist essence that is piling up (thankfully in its own collectibles slot but still useless). It just seems like they didn’t put much forethought into this.

Heck, even the fractal relics are pretty useless after a certain point. Only thing useful to buy after outfitting all your characters with 20 slotters is skill points.

lol ectos or laurels, if they become salvageable it will be into relics only, then they will add a consumable that costs relics to spend your relics on

It’s becoming a joke… extra rings are little more than vendor trash at the moment. I got tired of them filling up my bank so I just made a ring holder alt and dumped them all there until they’re useful for something else.

I think part of the problem is that anet hasn’t decided how ascended items are going to be salvaged/crafted, or don’t want to introduce a system yet. Because rings are no longer unique to fractals (and ascended items overall are available through other parts in the game) making them salvageable for fractal relics or essence doesn’t make sense. Making them salvageable for ectos doesn’t make much sense either, as you can already get them from rares and exotics and I don’t want to see another tier of “0-8” ectos and get 0-1 99% of the time.

However, if this is the case, I think the entire player base would appreciate a response relating to why this hasn’t been introduced yet, regardless of the reason. If it’s not ready yet just say so

I think that just making them trade-able is the only correct way to go about this.

“But that makes the game pay-to-win!”, I hear people crying. No moreso than so-called “legendaries”, which have been sell-able on the TP since day 1.

Just remove their account-bound status. Let people salvage them and let people sell them. There’s no reason to make them so utterly useless in terms of sale value.

Or, at the very least, let people trade in a set of X rings for one ring that they want.

Just give two rings to each Risen Priest of Balthazar Mini you have, that should cover 500 or so…

For now everyone should just make an Alt and move all rings from the bank to the Alt. wait it out and in a year or so if nothings changed… you could just vender the trash rings “if you ever needed the player slot back”

Seeing as I’ll probably be paying 70 laurels for the two I want (I hate FotM and some dungeons), I too, would be very happy if they could be sold on the TP or crafted. So for those with inventories full of them at least it won’t take you 2 monthly’s along with 50 dailies to get yours; even if they are not the exact ones you wanted.
