Ascended gear looks
Appearance is subjective.
For example, I won’t be rushing for ascended weapons based on the live stream, simply because they are not ice themed.
they better look cool… time gated and ugly looking makes zero sense, PLUS this game has enough ugly looking gear (especially armor)
Fact: every Thief tells you to “l2p” when the subject is to nerf stealth.

I’d be happier if you could pick any model you want within the game and have that image. Partly because it’d be funny to see how people deliberately badly match things up.

That GS I like <3 but I want a different colour.
Gonna make a zerker just to make a healing one that I’d never use and transmute /gg lol
that being said I can see how some people would really dislike the look you never feel “obliged” you feel “want”.
For example the champion skins, really I think most of them are lame, but I got cobalt (which is one of the easiest ones to get and is cheap on trade post) because I wanted it. I just got lucky disliking what someone else would consider “cooler.”

They were the grossest GS skins I have ever seen.
Considering how bad Zodiacs and Watchwork shoulders turned out, the artist has really lost it.

You can see the Greatsword, Sword and Dagger skins in the blog post. The staff shown is not one of them, it’s the crafted exotic.
