If I’m to choose between one evil and another, I’d rather not choose at all.
So in gw1 the skill system was really cool. You had to travel far and wide to get all the skills and for the elite ones you had to find bosses, kill them, and then capture the skill.
A lot of people are asking to make stats on ascended gear changeable.
So how about this.
You can craft a single set of ascended armor with the starting stats you want.
Now lets say you crafted a berserker set for your warrior but want to try out a condition damage build. So you set out to find a boss that will drop the right stat combination token. Make these bosses instanced to only you and really hard. (This way you would have a sense of accomplishment and not just farm champion till it drops what you want.) The drop would be guaranteed. Each major region could have its specific stat token and the way you get it would be determined by your personal story options ( Or not. The PS is a bit unused ATM). Maybe add an achievement line with a meta title. Also the weapon/armor would slightly change according to how many combinations you have unlocked.
I would really like to hear your ideas about this system.

A lot of people don’t have the initiative to craft ascended gear.
Motivation comes from within, no one can give it to you. It’s what sets people apart

But hey if someone crafted 3 sets they can toilet it into the changeable version.
