So apparently tomorrow we still can’t get ascended rings or backitems without doing fotm. Right? (I only play wvw)

I kept playing because I hoped this would be included in the update tomorrow.

I really feel like quitting the game because of this.

Some will say i overreact and point out that the difference between exoctic and asceneded gear isn’t that important. But it is an issue for me

they said you will be able to get infused with those new marks you get from dailys …. and other stuff plus they said they will add the option of asceneded drop on open world!

Why not quit when the rings came out? Do you think these idle threats will stop Ascended gear from coming out? They are going to put out a full set in time and there no way to stop it you must deal with it in your own way others have (most of them sucked it up and did a bit of work for gear). There also a lot of talk that these may be in WvW but that yet to be seen what would you do if any Ascended gear was in WvW will you stick to your believes and still quit but if so then you should of quit some time ago.

Any way they are coming out NOTHING you can do or say will stop that.

Side note:
If any thing i love Ascended gear in WvW it lets you out put high enofe dmg to deal with the dam bunker builds and thf that are only visible for 3 sec out of every 6.

It don’t really have a problem with ascended gear. I just want to be able to acquire it by doing wvw. It annoys me that i play against players in WvW who have better gear than me and play less WvW.

You can get the rings and new amulets from the daily achievement currency starting with tomorrow’s patch.

When you think about this it actually makes sense.
I mean what are we really getting out of wvw anyway besides server stats?

I don’t care if they implement full ascended gear tomorrow. All i care about is being able to acquire the new items while doing what i think is fun, which is PvP and WvW. Implementing new gear that is only available to get in dungeons is really ridiculous. It’s like Arena net doesn’t even think their decisions thoroughly.

Ascended gear has better stats than exotic one. Currently rings and backpieces are accessible only from fractals. After the next patch rings and amulets (uninfused) will be supposedly accessible from doing dailies and monthlies (though specifics are not yet known). Backpieces for now will remain fractal-only.

My understanding is that the stats are extremely minimal and you can’t put an upgrade (outside of the infusion) into the ascended so that would limit your personal customization based on your preferences at any given time.

Are the differences so great that it would warrant quitting the game over?

I could be wrong though, and again…that’s why I’m asking.
