So ascended armor soon. Then maybe legendary armor which still is missing.

But what next? Do you think this will be the end or do you think they will make even more stuff if a lot of people have full ascended gear?

But that would be pretty bad for people that don’t play a lot and still are with exotic gear.

I hope ascended gear will be the end as mediumterm goal and legendary as longterm goal.

If still people are bored then ArenaNet should offer other stuff to make the game fun instead of gear.

weapons, skills, equip was anyway nothing this game bothers about.
harder enemies are what this games requires, and i don’t mean just “more hp and more dmg”.

Legendary armor, you say? Yes; I, too, am waiting for the reintroduction of Obsidian armor. Assassin obby would be quite legendary, indeed!

And imagine if we had to go into an elite zone and complete a bunch of quests to unlock the vendor. It sounds brilliant, how could they NOT do it!?

For vertical progression, upgrades are next. Specifically, they talked about infusions, but ascended level runes and sigils will probably also happen at some point. After that, they’ll probably increase the level cap to start the process all over again.

When they released ascended gear, they said it would happen over the course of a year and that they wanted a slight vertical progression curve. Expect there to be something new every year and if there isn’t, they’ve either quit, or an expansion is coming the next year.

Legendary gear is going to happen. They’ve already said it’s coming and will probably start with accessories.

I think an upgrade of the jeweler craft is overdue. The existence of ascended trinkets has obsolesced this entire crafting discipline, as its only remaining use is to provide a temporary equipment boost to characters below level 80. In fact, there is little to no incentive to raise jeweler past 350.

Expanding jeweling to 500 could prove interesting if it allows for the crafting of one type of ascended trinkets. My suggestion would be for accessories (as those are quite expensive to get outside of guild missions) and back items (as this category has not been further developed since the introduction of Fractals of the Mists a year ago).

Still, I believe this would not be enough. What if jeweling were a source for crafting certain (tradable) ascended-level reagents that are required for things like precursor-crafting or legendaries?

Then at some point I probably will stop the game. Only means: No new ideas = getting boring and I don’t want to be forced to grind more stuff to stay competitive and be able to play newer content.

They will keep 1 group of players – the ones that want to grind gear(these players are better suited to play WoW) and the other group that liked the game from the beginning because it was “different” will stop. (I don’t even think many of these players are left and already 90+ percent are the gear grinders).

Ascended as medium term and legendary as long term goal is okay(if legendary same stats as ascended but only other convenient features like skin or changing stats / and ascended only a bit better than exo). Even okay if they make all stuff like armor and accessories.

But not okay to introduce another armor tier so your ascended farming would be wasted after that new got introduced. Or increasing level cap(everything would be wasted because you would need all gear to remake at higher level version). Inacceptable!

So if you talked about jeweler… I think cooking and jeweler are next, right? Might be ascended jeweling and ascended food next. Then the remaining legendary stuff(armor and trinkets).

Honestly i don’t care much about vertical progression, i play because i have fun in sPvP and WvWvW.
I would highly dislike a level cap raise, i think people who play to get always better gear are better off with WoW et similia.

They have mentioned leveling infusions to ascended rarity. I fully expect runes and sigils to also be leveled to ascended, over time. I am hoping that we will see the end of VP at that point, and see more of the ‘traditional Guild Wars’ model implemented:

More zones for the max level
More personal story for fully leveled characters
More skills
More sharing of weapons across the existing classes
More rare and unique armor and weapon skins in game to work toward

Perhaps we will see some elite zones (Like Uw of FoW), but I do not see this as likely based on comments made at Pax. We will see though.

Like many, I have my fingers crossed for no level raise in the future. This is GW, not WoW. If I wanted to play WoW, I’d go fricking play WoW.

Don’t look at me like that. Whatever you’ve heard, it’s probably not true.
