Ever since the patch that just came out a few days ago, I’ve noticed that ascended rings and ascended chests drop rate tends to drop a lot less frequently now. Before the patch I was normally getting 2-3 ascended rings a day but now I only get 1 if that. When it comes to the ascended chests, I’ve noticed they are dropping less frequently also even with me doing all the daily fractals each day. I remember before the patch came out, I was normally getting 1 ascended chests (armor or weap chest) every week or every other week. I would love to see something done about this because I’m starting to loose interest in fractals now.

Edit: Also good going anet with nerfing how much gold is made in fractals now. Spent 4hrs doing all the dailies and all I made was 17g while I use to make twice that amount within a hour before fractals were changed……Guess it’s back to dungeons.

Ya know, doing the Tier 4 dailies completes the tier 1-3 ones.

Why are you doing 14 runs? Do Tier 4 for each of the Tiered dailies, and then do the two recommended Fractals.

3 ascended chests since the patch for me. 2 Weapon and 1 armor – I really don’t understand what you’re saying

Also you can’t judge RNG in such a short period. Really now … You didn’t receive ascended chests for “a couple of days” and you’re already at wit’s end…Even though you placed their drop rate at “every week or every other week”.

There’s been a definite decrease since the previous patch that added ascended chests to the 51+ fractal dailies.

So far [KING]’s data shows just under a 5% chance at ascended armor chests and around 1% for weapon chests from the T4 and T3 dailies. Previously it was around 11-12% for armor, and 5% for weapons.

While this is all anecdotal and user reported data, a lot of people (myself included) averaged one or two chests each week for just under two months, then noticed a decrease in ascended drops after the Mossman exploit fix.

But yes I do agree with you. There has been a decrease with how often they drop now and they nerfed how much gold can be made in fractals now. I use to make 20g/hr in fractals, now I only made 17g during those 14 runs I did which is kittened. It seems like the more they keep changing fractals, they keep nerfing how much gold you get from them and the drop rates of ascended items.

That’s very kind of you, but you can’t use that as a benchmark for how rewarding the game mode is. You aren’t getting any additional rewards because you’ve chosen to do more than 6 islands per day.

An additional FYI — the scaled dailies (two islands per day) offer fractal loot as rewards: AR, encryption boxes|keys, relics. For ascended gear (and mats), you want the tiered rewards. For the maximum value for the least effort (min-max), do the highest tier you can and stop.

A final FYI — the odds of getting ascended gear are low, so any given individual is unlikely to get cool loot even as often as every week. Some people will, but most will not — the community is large enough that we all know stories of people who have gotten 1+ ascended items many days in a row or 2+ from a single day or even single tier 4.
