I have over 100 ascended rings. I am debating about selling them to merchant or continue holding onto them. Does anyone know whether Arenanet has plans to combine these rings into something else or allow players to salvage these rings in the near future?
Thank you
Keep on saving them. I certainly Am.
It seems unlikely that ANet would allow so many people to sell Ascended rings and then change things drastically. I can already imagine the rage.
If you have space, sure, save them. But if you need the inventory slots for anything else (including Dragonite Ore), I’d start selling.
That’s almost 5g right there. Sell it.
I too have a collection of useless ascended rings I would legit never use.. But I’m saving them because.. You know.. Just in case. Sigh. Actually I think I’ll move them all from my bank to a spare toon to save space, for now.
Just sell them. I don’t see them becoming salvageable.
It would be nice if we got some answer from ANet regarding whether or not they intend to make Ascended rings salvagable or craftable in the future. Hell, even just using them in precursor crafting would at least give spare ascended rings some use outside of taking up bank space.
I would really be surprised if Anet would comment on this directly.
Imagine if they said that the rings would soon become salvageable/sellable, the Farmers would flood to the Fractals to stockpile Ascended rings to chop or unload once they are made available. This would be actually advertising a farm before hand. Just doesn’t seem to me to be in Anet’s best interest.
You’ll be screwed either way. If you hold on to them, they’ll eternally waste your bank space. If you sell them, ANet will make them a requirement for something special, like the new legendaries.
So pick whichever brand of disappointment suits you best.
Id hold on to them, untill HoT drops and see how the stat changes effect them. Junk items might become useful. That way you wont be thinking, “I should have kept hold of them”
