Why ascended trinkets have twice the same attributes? The 2nd attribute only works when the infusion slot is used?

i.e. Yakkington’s Ring:
+ 50 power
+ 50 precision
+10% Magic Find
+10 power
+10 precision

The ascended gear have the “upgrade slot” built into the item, so the first part shows the items stats and the last part (which include more of the same stat) shows the “upgrade component”.
