Ascended weapons and condition damage?
(0.05 * Condition Damage) + 42.5 per stack per second at level 80

Ascended grants 188 major stats and 134 minor stats instead of 179/ 128 for exotics. So you get additional 9/ 6 condition damage.
Zerker gets bonus weapon attack AND bonus power (and precision and crit damage).

In other words, zerker scale much more in damage in comparison.
Basically, ascended weapons aren’t worth using for condition damage users.

Well that excludes one of my builds out of the 8 characters that I have.

What do you mean by “bonus weapon attack”?

What do you mean by “bonus weapon attack”?
in addition to extra power/prec/cir dmg ascended weapons also increase the base damage of the weapon.
Exotic weapon does like: 1000-1050 dmg
Ascended weapon does like: 1050-1100 dmg
those are just random numbers, but they are about right.
So basically zerker gear gets quadruple damage stacking bonus from all 4 stat increases, while condition users don’t gain a single point of damage, literally, 0.

Not true…. I think my necro scepter attack hits for 1-2 more…. so not LITERALLY zero. To answer the question, with infusions, I get about 1 extra damage per bleed. (roughly 20 condition damage).
Yeah it is sad…. but that is just Anet’s way of telling you to at the very least play a hybrid build.

Ok that’s true, I should have specified, 0 extra condition damage ticks, until you get 2 weapons + infusions, and already have 2 condition damage over your last threshold, will give you 1 extra damage per bleed tick.
But yes your scepter/staff will hit for like 201 damage instead of 200 damage now on auto attack.
Just to clear something up. Zerker/Valk 1h ascended weapons don’t add any additional crit % damage. It’s 5% on both ascended and exotic. That said, of the characters I play, I made a zerker axe (necro), and zerker gs + sword (mesmer) mainly for the addition weapon damage. The stats are minimal and not worth investing in. On my condition engineer, there is no reason to even consider making ascended weapons unless I just want to waste gold. The stat increase, even with an infusion, won’t make my bleeds go up 1 point. The weapon damage is useless to a condition spec, and even more so on an engineer since kits don’t inherit weapon damage. Ascended basically made power builds quite a bit more powerful (great on my necro/mesmer) while not affecting condition builds at all. Couple that with the alleged condition nerfs coming in 5 days and it’s going to be hard to not play power builds in the future.
