Asura character creation tips
What you can do is make the Asura the way you want, screenshot the sliders to make it easy to replicate, then go into game and head for the nearest bank or crafting station (likely that means hopping into Rata Sum and trotting down one level to the Accountancy waypoint).
There you can bring up the Wardrobe and preview every piece of medium armor to your heart’s content.
If you don’t like how it looks, delete, remake with any tweaks, and btw try to use the name you want on the test character because then you have it for 24 hours after any character deletion.
Asuras tends to be and look really small in game, so making big heads and noticeable face details is usually a good idea. Big eyes are one of the top features of asura, IMO, so use them.
The ears look really bad (clips a lot) with at least half the headgear in the game. Since making them smaller doesn’t solve the problem at all, I reccomend going full Stitch: big and floppy, so you can be proud when using headgear that doesn’t clips, and don’t really care when using hats that do.
(Also lorewise, big heads and ears are supposedly seen as beautiful by asuran standards.)
The feet are another point. In the whole game, I have found only 6 medium footgear that recognize the shape of your asuran feet. All the rest just let the lateral toes puncture the sides of your shoes like pointy spikes. 3 of them are the cultural ones… I don’t know the details about heavy or light boots, but I doubt those would be different.
Consider also that female asura use male armor models. Don’t try to make a sexy little girl genius: although it is doable, it’s extra difficult.
Weapons on asura usually looks tiny, yet often clips with the ground when stowed anyway… So be aware of those long greatswords and big rifles: you’ll etiher love them because they actually are visible when you play, or you’ll hate how they continuously bury themselves in the floor. On the other hand, that little, very detailed and full of shiny particle effects dagger you like on your human is going to look almost invisible on asura. Much better to pick the big knife that is almost a sword.
Don’t forget asura have totally different animations than the bigger guys. They are always running at full speed! Asura actually do somersaults when evading forward or backward: they are the most acrobatic race in the game. Make an asuran thief, and you will be barely touching the floor anymore. This means you should privilege short hairstyles and clothes that let you actually see what is happening, or floaty long ones that emphasize the effect.
Finally, I reccomend you to evaluate the pc asuras around you for a while before deciding how do you want yours to look. Like with humans, people tend to repeat the same faces with the same hairstyles over and over. Don’t be dull and make something more interesting.
that it makes every other class in the game boring to play.”

On average I hate the hats on asura, and most of mine don’t wear them or have Aviator’s sunglasses. The one exception is Braham’s heavy armor, the horns on this on a small asura are as big as the character. This can mean they look like bobble heads even without drinking that obnoxious brew.
Most of the male asura faces look ugly and a lot of the female ones are too. I have tried to make mine cute but don’t even think sexy when creating an asura.
You can get some oddities though, I have a rabbit themed asura and one that is a 1960s alien lookalike….
There is very little in skirts, it’s trousers all the way, except for the Scallywag heavy armor. This also shows off the fact that asura have no feminine chest bumps. Asura female armor seems to be the same as male. This is shared with Charr female armor.
Remember, most of the time nobody will take any notice of your toon’s looks, what they are wearing or what they are using. Clothing and appearance is for your preference not someone else’s. Because they are so small an asura is less likely to be noticed than larger races such as a charr or norn.
My male asura had maximum height from the character creator. My female one though had the minimum height. Female asuras are so kittening cute. I plan to make 3 characters of each race, so my third asura would be a female guardian, but instead of minimum height, I’ll make her at maximum height. The reason for this is because she will have one of the premium face makeovers, so maximum height means more details on the face. That’s just it. You can either make him/her very small for cuteness sake, or maximize his/her height for the details.
Light armor has Stately legs for a skirt. Here’s mine when she’s not in an outfit (Crystal Nomad looks magnificent on her). Her hidden helm is the Aether one, a full cap with goggles and a spray of connector cables as a “ponytail.”
Everyone thanks for the posts.

That is the type of stuff that I had in mind.

Thats what i also normally do, however mostly just to look if the face looks ingame
like i wanted it to look. The bad thing is you can’t test that with faces that are only
available in makover kits
Best MMOs are the ones that never make it. Therefore Stargate Online wins.
You didn’t say if you were making a female or male but here is my female Thief. For the record Asuran Thieves are extremely fun.
