Hi all,
I have done some digging and found this topic mentioned several times. But nothing recently.
I noticed in the store there has been a few items that female Asura actually show as female clothing.
To this I say THANK YOU. :-)
Please, Please, Please add more. ( I will love the gem store )
I have been playing this game since beta and have enjoyed every part.
However, I do so very much hate the lack of female clothing choices for this race.
I do understand the “lore” and the fact that they are childlike modeled.
I’m not looking for a “kittenty” Human / Norn like Asura, that doesn’t fit either.
I want my cute pom-pom headed Asura to be the girl that she is.
( I will run around in my snowflake dress till it falls apart. )
( She has bows in her hair & the males can’t so there are already in game differences in the races genders. )

Not hating on the game at all, looking forward to its future and my playing it.

( please note: If the issue is because they are childlike, tell me if your daughter would be ok in the new Raiment of the Lich outfit. The female version is quite revealing but the male one is more so on a “little girl”. )

A note, I didn’t write “kittenty”, it corrected it when I hit submit. First that isn’t even a word and second the word that was there was not offensive or rude.
It fit the discussion.
Thanks…

The issue is not that they are child-like. It’s that they are not human-like. They don’t have large bags of fat on their chest, so they don’t wear clothes and armor designed to cup said large bags of fat on the chest for the same reason males don’t.

To be fair, the (female) raiment of the lich costume isn’t exactly designed to do that, either.

And honestly, most cloth isn’t designed to do that.
Ninja outfit isn’t boobplate/bra cups
Crystal nomad isn’t boobplate/bra cups
*Witch outfit isn’t boobplate/bra cups
*Imperial outfit isn’t boobplate/bra cups
Arctic explorer isn’t boobplate/bra cups
*Ancestral isn’t boobplate/bra cups
Ceremonial Plate isn’t boobplate/bra cups
*Fancy winter outfit isn’t boobplate/bra cups
*Hexed outfit isn’t boobplate/bra cups
Noble Count is bra cups but that could easily be altered to a halter/tube top.
Pirate Captain’s isn’t boobplate/bra cups
Bloody Prince is low cut, but still isn’t boobplate/bra cups.
And raiment of the lich, as I’ve said, isn’t boobplate/bra cups

*Asura are given gendered costumes

That means all but one gendered outfit isn’t tailored for a certain bust size range, so, really, there is no excuse when it comes to bust size.

That I do understand Range. But, the female children do not have that either and they are in female clothing.
Also, then why the snowflake dress?

The cups on the chest is not the only difference between male and female armor you know.

I can’t speak for the designers. From the way I see it, there’s no point in using an alternative outfit designed specifically to cover the breasts on a character that has no breasts to cover.

I’d say it’s safe to assume most of the culture-based outfits (Ancestral, Fancy Winter and so on) are designed one way for all males and one way for all females, because if a character is going to wear that, they’ll want to fit in with the original culture of the festivities.

I’d still prefer if everyone had the choice to wear either version, though. If asura females get to wear dresses, I don’t see why male norns wouldn’t.

I have this same issue with my charr. I absolutely despise the choices for female charr light armor. It’s almost all horrible. If there was a race change I would do so just to have SOME options to look good. I’m fine with some armor for charr and asura being unisex, but not ALL of it.

Some cases I agree with this. But, not all.
The charr are rugged & a somewhat brutal peoples.
Female clothing of most any sort would not only not fit them by design. But, not fit them by their very nature.
Also since charr run on all four feet, the up the dress view might be inappropriate.

Asura are essentially little humans. Yes, the head design is different but not enough to make them not fit into gender specific clothing.
Humans of any height or “body shape” in game wear the same clothing, Norn also.
So, it stands to reason the “little people” in the game should also.

As a player of the small race in most every game I play I do find it offensive that these small races are so often treated badly. ( mostly by the player base, ex. gnome football )
I am not asking as others did for specific clothing. Just girls clothing for girls. not a tough concept to me.

We are not humans. -.- Write that down a thousand times progeny! :P

Joking aside, this topic was brought up quite often already. I personally am quite happy that there are not so many large gender differences.

Edit: I would rather like if there were really gender*neutral* clothes for asura in the cashshop and not half-fitting human male clothes.
