So The asurans have,
Fully Automatic Golems
Death Lasers
Aqua bases
Lava bases
Force-fields
Nuclear Power(radiation field)
Anti-gravity fields
Holograms

So why haven’t the asurans gone to the moon yet? They had the technology for it for like hundreds of years?

Any ideas why they haven’t? Perhaps they just don’t see a point?

How do you know we haven’t?

They went there already and found out that Quaggans have beaten them to it. Now they are covering the tracks so that nobody ever knows about that.

Nah, skritt empire. They had a starbase, but it fell. That’s why there’s remains of the same structures in skritt tunnels all over Tyria, they’re all parts of the space station. With technology to connect them over any distance, skritt become as terrifyingly powerful as the borg.

There is a moonbase and it’s underwater.

Or maybe not.

The Skritt already traveled to the stars to find the ultimate shiny…

We’ve already gone there (/end of mistery). Anything of surprinsing there, its a great ball of nothing. By the eternal alchemy bookahs, what you see interest in moon? Don’t have anything useful there.

They were an underground race with no concept of the sky not long ago, flying into space is probably bloody terrifying to them.

Actually, the Skritt were not to be trifled with in the ancient times. Their empire spanned the stars, sprawling out across the galaxy like a blanket of fur. They valued peace and prosperity, and worked tirelessly to that end.
As fate would have it, they came across the Asura at one point while expanding their empire. The Asura, at first, were welcoming, but soon began to resist the ways of the Skritt not out of disdain for their desire for peace, but out of jealousy. The Asuran’s did not like the idea that they were not the most intelligent beings to exist.
It was the Asura who discovered the Skritt’s weakness, in that their intelligence was only measured by how many were concentrated in one location. After a century of planning, the Asura finally struck at the heart of the Skritt empire, kidnapping key individuals and moving them as far as possible from the others. As the kidnapping process continued over a period of 8 years or so, the overall intellect of the Skritt was decimated, and their empire of peace crumbled. Vile entities soon began eliminating the Skritt mercilessly, while the Asuran’s ignored their plight and worked studiously to obtain their own power structure.
After many centuries of long wars and countless lives lost, the races of the galaxy spread out to the very edges. Isolationism became commonplace.
Still living in fear of the Skritt’s group intellect, and the abilities they harbor within, the Asuran’s decided to find a habitable planet upon which to set up a laboratory where they could keep the Skritt in check, as well as work to develop a way to genetically remove this unique aspect of Skritt intellect.
While efforts have been somewhat successful, the Asuran’s are still somewhat paranoid, and to this day in places like Metrica Province, they run experiments on Skritt to test their IQ, even going so far as enlisting other unknowing races into assisting with the tests.

Unfortunately the test pilot wasn’t wearing any form of self contained breathing apparatus and we failed to consider the reduction in available atmosphere with increase in altitude. Or the dramatic reduction in temperature. Or the amount of “impact” he’d have in the field immediately following descent.

By the way, we have an opening for a new rocket-boot test pilot.

They can open portals to the literal crossroads of the universe and alternate universes, so I’m pretty sure that they’ve already set up their Polymock arena on the Dark Side™ of the moon.

Besides, we have Asura on earth. Primitive, the main thing they do is live far underground and pressurize aquifers. Surely you have heard of Artesians.

The moon Asura decorate it, but for highly classified reasons of their own. The theory is, nomadic bands of SpaceSkritt roam the solar system in cycles, looking for moons to plunder. By disguising the moon, the Asura fool the Skritt into continuing on. Or so I have heard.
