Guild Wars 2

I’ve been out of guild wars 2 for quite some time now. Although I’ve wanted to get back into it since the lag isn’t actually that bad despite the no Aussie servers.

I was wondering if Sea of Sorrows was still the best server to go with or if the oceanic community has jumped to another server. Keeping in mind my main focus is PVP, WVW, with PvE more on the side.

Maybe even which guilds would be good to join… But that’s for a different forum

If you are looking at T1 servers, you have Blackgate, Sanctum of Rall and Jade Quarry.

The current server at first position is Blackgate, but other servers are fun too.

Dragonbrand has a very large oceanic presence, one of the largest in fact. Our server would fit your play times really well, especially if you are WvW minded. If you do decide to come to DB, hit me up in game or through mail if I’m not online for a starter care package if you’d like!

Sea of Sorrows is another good one though for sure, I like the SoS peeps

Now to pick my race and class…

I’m on SoS and I can confirm that is has a large Oceanic population for WvW. It’s easily our best coverage on the map. I’m in North America and it can be frustrating at times playing when the Oceanics aren’t on since our NA presence is so small; we are almost always outnumbered. A T1 server will definitely get you the best all-around coverage, but keep in mind that the populations there are so high that you can wait in queue for 2 hours or more just to get in WvW at times. Someone from those servers can give you a better idea of how often those queues are.
