Auto-remove squads from LFG after 5 mins
Wow. I guess I was wrong and I am the only one who finds this annoying. o_o
I don’t know about 5 minutes being a reasonable length, but I think removing the LFG entry when the map a person is on is full would be fine. I’ve tried to taxi into a DS or AB instance many times and been unable to do so because the map is full.
That said, a compromise might be to indicate the age of the LFG entry for people to judge for themselves. Ten or 20 minutes old means it’s probably stale, and can be ignored. That might be an easier solution than implementing an aging/takedown system.
I’d say auto-remove them from LFG when the commander leaves the squad, anyway.
Oh, I like those ideas as well. ^
Just no. LFGs like karka farming or the all day TML SW farm require it to not be removed after 5 minutes.

they dont require anything.
There is already something like this in place. When I post lfr’s in the raid lfg, I have to replace my post every few minutes…
How bout no? Cause this kittens over all other squads who are doing something that does not require the constant update of the lfg post or are updating it, just at greater increments than every 5 minutes. How bout upon joining the squad, you just ask what their progress is with the meta.
The issue is you didn’t end up in the instance of the map your squad was actually in.
After joining a squad, right click the squad window and there will be an option to join them in the map they’re in. This will switch you over the instance they’re actually in, as long as the instance isn’t full. Edit: You probably need to already be in the map your squad is in before you can switch instances to join them.
I found this out recently after joining a squad for Silverwastes. I exited and reentered the map multiple times but it kept putting me into the same dead instance. So I left and joined a different squad in LFG and had the same problem. I eventually asked why I couldn’t get in with them and that’s when they pointed this^ out to me, and it worked.
