Guild Wars 2

Merciless weapons were released on the 2nd, and Timekeeper weapons were released on the 15th. Don’t get me wrong, I love spending real money on lottery tickets that might pay out 1/10th of a new weapon skin as much as the next guy, but I find myself pining for a time when these sorts of things were earned in-game.

Thanks to Anet you can earn gold like crazy at the moment… so there’s no problem in getting these weapons if you’re not into Winter’s Presence, BUT…

I would like to have at least 4 weeks in between releasing new weapon sets.
Even if there are some I am definitely not getting because they’re ugly. :P

I wish they would release new skins every single day,i want diversity and loads and loads of new stuff gems or not…i don’t really care.

I know, I know…you can buy them with gold, which can be earned by playing the game. Of course, you can’t earn it as quickly as you used to. Nerfing gold was a savvy, though not-so-cleverly-veiled attempt to push more people into buying Gems with cash instead of converting gold.

The evidence doesn’t support your claim:

• There are all sorts of new skins in the game, some gem-only, some BL tickets, and some found.
• Too much gold in the economy is worse for the majority of players, because it means everything costs more. It also puts pressure on those who can afford it to buy gems to convert to gold to pay for basics, never mind luxuries.

Plus, why is it bad for ANet to release more skins? It’s keeping the price of BL skins down (as is the reduced amount of gold faucets), which allows people more options about getting newer skins.

The only interesting ones are the Auric weapons.
And the “Bo” – but that’s impossible to gain for me, can’t do the required adventure at all. :C

To me, the real kicker is that we were sold on the idea that the end game in this MMO was all about collecting cosmetic items (weapon and armor skins), yet the overwhelming majority of new cosmetic items added to the game since launch have been cash shop items. So essentially, Guild Wars 2’s end game consists of swiping your credit card. Fun stuff.

I dont care if they are GOLD purchasable, it’s eating content away and its making this game look S***, and sorry to say, i’m tired of GEM store any kind of items until things are fixed, and i’m specially not wasting money on pathetic bundles.. who ever though that made worst deal ever! Cuz who’s dumb enough to pay 25€ for a bundle.. i would buy maybe outfits or armors for 800gems (with money not gold), but 25€ for bundle, thx and bye and i can only flip a finger to a greedy managers.. gg

since HoT i start growing weary on the gemstore in general. The x-pac didnt bring much rewards at all.. but they can release outfits and ticket skins like there is no tomorrow. Also they sell stuff that should be meta rewards (like the exalted glider) and raid rewards (flamer chick raid boss that name i forgot aswell the ghost glider) just casually on the gem store. I mean wtf a-net? Want money? Sell some more diverse visual stuff, account bonuses and convinient thingies and fluff like skill effect colours, auras, more toys, much more hairdos, racial features (tats, horns, ears, plant stuff), make another equipment slot purely for visual fluff like earrings, trophies and stuff that you can sell purely for eyecandy…maybe reverse the “no skins on the gemstore” BS and sell some more of them? Hm? Doesnt sound good? Well..im sure it doesnt to you.. you got enough people who suck up all the BS… -ducks for eventual whiteknight jousting lance of ultimate bootlicking-

Sure money…income.. jada…jada….a-net gud boy… but man… i faintly do recall something in the past… a blogpost where some dev claimed a balance of ingame rewards and gemstore. Hmm… not sure what balance means to other people.. but i kinda think this isnt it.

I mean sure.. i do like (well these days not so much anymore, HoT burned me badly, specially cause i bought the 100 bucks version TWO TIMES -_-) to support the game through the gemstore like many people…even if i pretty much hate outfits… BUT everything i buy from the gemstore is with actual gems that i pay with actual money, i only converted gems to gold once..and only about 100 gems cause i wanted some skin before it got removed 1 hour later…but yea.. slowly feeling a bit…kittened. Also i do own pretty much everything that i find “nice” from said store…means 90% of the skins, gathering tools..cept the new flute ones, not my style, tons of account upgrades, surely more then 50 makeover kits since i play the game, tons of trans charges (i dont pvp so i buy em with gems) and much more…. not like you care though…but just sayin a-net, eventually more and more people will be as salty as i am…maybe then you give a darn, as for now… i will wait for the LS3…and the armor skins i did not get with the expansion…
