But!
We’re not quite there yet.

Common Contents still needs a vast clean up.

Things that should be bundled or REMOVED
-Instant Repair Canister (Remove this)
-Bank / Trading / Merchant (Bundle this and allow us to choose one)
-Teleport To A friend (Remove this)
-Tome of Knowledge (We can get this in too many places in game. It’s not needed in the chest)
- Unidentified dye (Make this no less than 3 dyes)
-Trans Mute charges (Make this no less than 2-3 or remove)

Uncommon Drops is looking all right.
-Revive Orb (Remove)
-Black Lion Salvage Kit (Remove. Edit – And add into game. With ascended soon to be salvageable it would be reasonable to find this other than via gems.)

Lastly!
Bundle the boosters and allow for us to pick which one we want. This will remove some salt because it’ll give less odds to get one, but will also stack with all the bundled ones we already have.

The best improvement imo was allowing for the finishers to be sellable. Adding them and making them work this way is fantastic! The items currently removed today were a great step as well and I can’t wait to see how much more the BLC contents can improve in the future.

Why would you want to remove the BL Salvage Kit? That is one of my favorite items from chests, besides more keys.

IN truth I think this should be something put into the game for karma or something. Salvaging shouldn’t cost gems. (Excluding the salvage-o-matics of course)

If they gave us another method for obtaining them, then yes, I agree on removing it. But, since it’s BLC or straight up gems to get them, I like them in the chests.

Yeah it should be obtainable in game in all honesty. I find it odd that something like that is so rare to obtain. Even if it was a reward via pvp that would be great. I mean why not? tomes and transmutes are!

Are you kidding? Gambling boxes are NEVER the right direction. Profitable maybe… but so not right…

The one item I disagree with is the Black Lion Salvage kit. That’s actually a valuable item, especially for those who do a lot of exotic salvaging.

Be careful what you ask for
ANet may give it to you.

Some of us like gambling. I enjoy hitting the casino every once in a while. Games of chance are fun, and can be rewarding. You just have to set limits for yourself, or you lose too much trying to have fun.

There’s a reason most people have to go out of their way to get to a legal casino. Not everyone can be responsible in the face of an addiction, which is why these boxes exist. To prey on the people who are easily hit by it and will drop hundreds of dollars in minutes, regardless of whether or not they can afford it.

The right direction is removing it… or atleast complying with local law.

In germany such things require to show the chances to get particular results.

No! Not the black lion salvage kit! I love those things they greatly help with dark matter collecting!

I agree with you. And with the upcoming option to salvage SOME ascended I feel that they should be IN GAME. Not from chests or from Gemshop.

-Trans Mute charges (Make this no less than 2-3 or remove)

It’s very annoying to get items from a Black Lion Chest that are easy to obtain through other methods, so transmutation charges should be removed.

They are ultra easy to get via city map completion (100%), and they are a very high probability reward from non-city map completion. Furthermore, they are also really easy to get from PvP reward tracks.

I would love it if they removed [Teleport to Friend] and instead added a permanent version that is extremely rare and able to sell on Trading Post.

Not sure about that one. Might be a bit game breaking. But cool none-the-less!

I agree with the removal of the Instant Repair Canister.

But maybe we will need it in raids, so I’ll wait and see.

These are fine to leave in. Posted this in another thread a while back but would also like to see a Permanent Asuran Waypoint Pass that is ultra rare and tradeable that removes the cost to use waypoints for the toon in possession of the item.

Revive Orbs are pretty useful in fractals and might have a serious use in raids so would be careful there. The issue with the BLSKs are they don’t stack and are not trade-able.
If one or the other changed then they would be in really good shape.

What I would do, is make a ticket scrap a guaranteed thing. Ie: If you buy 10 keys, you know that you’re getting a BL weapon skin on top of pressing your luck for better items. It’d be like dungeon tokens in a way, you know you’re slowly working towards a goal as you buy keys.

I might note that I do say this as someone who is not a gambler. With chests as they are now, I will never buy keys, ever. The gamble just does not appeal to me. If I knew I was working towards a weapon skin as a sure thing, with an additional chance of maybe getting something else cool, then I would buy BL keys once in a while, because then I get the excitement of maybe getting something nice, but also the assurance I’m not completely flushing money down the toilet even if I lose.

I am also not a gambler but an invester when it’s wise. I guess some people like to throw their money away at a chance for something. But what strikes me as a bit crazy is how they could be throwing so much money away for 0 scraps. It would be 1 thing if what they were rolling for was a full weap inside the chest but just scraps being such a rarity seems insane to me! O.O

A game ESRB rated “Teen” should not be promoting gambling as heavily as Anet does.
