BLC weapon skins

I agree on wanting weapons that look like weapons but disagree on Merciless not filling the bill there. Sure I avoided the ones with spikes in odd places but that set looks like real metal — not feathers or petals or gusts of wind — with some weight to it but not so much weight you’d never pick it up for a fight. Some of the Gallant actually bothered me due to the large dull flat areas (eg the GS grip), though more because it wasn’t something I’d buy if I saw it at a Renn Fair than because it didn’t look real.
I tend to breathe out a sigh of relief when they release a set I’m not as fond of, come to think of it. It means I can continue to hoard my tickets and know that when the next set comes out I’ll be ready to pick one or two that I like in the set.
Even so, there are realistic themes they haven’t touched for BL sets. What about a Swashbuckler set? Sure we already have three kinds of swept hilt rapiers. But what about main gauches, small bucklers, elegant flintlock muskets? Heck, given the rapier supply, how about basket hilts?
Ok, so I just read up on the 7th Sea kickstarter and it’s calling to me … but I’ve loved 17th c. style for a very long time.
You’re looking in the wrong place. “Normal” looking weapon skins come from common loot. You’re in a very small minority if you wish to spend tickets on something that looks banal, as that’s not the intended purpose of the tickets.

You miss understand what I mean. By “normal”. I mean something that looks like a weapon.
