Dear ArenaNet,

I understand the desire to tone down the particle effect for visual clarity. BUT PUT THE AURAS BACK THE WAY THEY WERE! This is egregiously insulting to the beautiful eye candy they once were! I created and played HoT with an elementalist, breaking away from my guardian, mostly for how awesome the auramancer looked!

The wind has just been sucked out of my sails…to put that in perspective, I bought the $100 version of HoT. I LOVE this game, but recent changes like this one are killing it! Video games are ART, please SAVE your ARTWORK and stop this nerfing madness!

PLEASE STOP THE VISUAL NERFS! LET EACH PLAYER CHOOSE HIS OR HER VISUAL PREFERENCES!

PS: my original post was taken down due to lacking a respectful delivery. Here is version two…which is a bit toned down, lacking the initial passion expressed earlier….kinda like the watered down aura effects that were just imposed.

I 100% agree with everything you said. I have recently returned to the game as well and chose an Elementalist due to how awesome their spell effects were, and now I’m running around throwing a flaming ping pong ball and rocking different colored egg shell auras.

And by the way, they said it’s because too big visuals affects the play on PVP. But I think it’s gonna do the opposite.

Look let’s say I’m playing a ranger, I see a little elementalist and I don’t see his earth aura, I send in knockdown arrow and realized I just knocked myself down !

Great way to “improve” PVP…

As usual, PVP changes apply to PVE as well even when they don’t need to and shouldn’t.

Also as usual, it isn’t made OPTIONAL for those that weren’t shouting for a change in the first place, just outright dumbed down.
