Hey guys,

I’ve had this issue since using the Holographic Shattered Dragon Wings skin. If I want to use another back skin on the current back item I have equipped, and if it’s a unique, one of a kind skin like the shattered wings, overwriting it means it’s gone for good. Should I just create another ascended back piece and make another infusion? Kind of lost :/

You have a couple of options. You can:

1 – Leave the skin as it is and make a new item as you already said for the new skin and use them whenever you feel like it or

2 – Transmute the wings you have onto a blue/white item (which might be hard to find anyway) and they will become account bound for later use on any other char, but you will lose the stats of course and it would mean making a new back item with those same stats again anyways.

Really you have to decide what skin you want at lvl 80 to pretty much be it for that char especially when unique items are concerned. Try and plan out and if a better skin comes along well you could always use it on an alt or on the sPvP version of your main.

Too many back items, not enough town clothes. I’d have been happier with a new Townclothes item than more and more and more back covers.

I wish there were even an option to use them as townclothes! THAT would be superb!

You forgot the 2 back items from southcove too but I get your point lol….

Perhaps they should start giving us these items like they did with the hall of monuments items (a npc that basically gives you an unlimited amount that you unlock and can reget anytime you wish).

And yeah town clothes versions would also be a good idea!

i want to be able to use these unique back skins in pvp and pve like wth i gotta choose to use it on one have of the game or the other?? Just make it so only the skin part carries over to pvp when u unlock stuff in pve!

this is why i do all my pvp activities in wvw!

(whats gonna happend when they put in gvg? will it be wvw or gvg stats/skins)

Would be nice if skins saved to the item, and using the transmute crystal just unlocks it so you can pick another skin you’ve put on that item already.

Same amount of gems spent , much less item destruction. I am so glad I already have a look I want :p

We need a collectables tab for backpieces similar to the pvp locker. Get it done Anet.
