Wouldn’t it be awesome if it were possible change the colors of the back piece items in GW2?

See our latest back piece item, the Day Dreamer.
Beautiful! And lovely on my character BUT she wears lots of pinks and whites to match the lovestruck weapons.
The new day dreamers outfit is really awesome especially in pinks and whites, but yha then the back piece, and your back to the original color settings. Kinda sad as it breaks the whole overall look.

So would it be possible in the future to change the color or glow of certain back piece items? I can understand that not all would be applicable to this.
But just like with armors, some have 4 colors, some only have 1.

I for one would love for this to be an option with some items.

Yes, that is such a pretty back piece but the colors are so definitive they won’t go well with most palettes. Even with basic black they look a bit tacked on. I will still find a use for them! I vow it!

Meanwhile I have to dither over the new weapons because I can get three and I want at least six a lot and seven more almost as much …

I was very disappointed after I bought the daydreamers wings. I got the daydreamers outfit and was able to dye it so when I bought the wings, I assumed I would be able to dye them. I havent ever had a back item I wanted to show, so I never realized you couldnt dye them. Had I known, I wouldnt have purchased the wings. They do not match any of my color schemes as they are. They are beautiful, and I love that they move, I just wish I could make them go with my outfits.

I know this is an old topic, but the points are still valid.

I recently got a golden fractal sword drop and was interested in changing my whole look to fit it, but alas.. It’s a shame you have some amazing backpieces like the Unbound that you can’t dye to fit with the style you’re going for.

In my case I’d love to dye it (or just parts of it) Lion Golden and Shadow Blue, but since I can’t, i’m not even gonna bother using the new golden skin I just got. And i’m scared the same issue is gonna happen to Ad Infinitum once it comes out. if we can’t dye it, few are gonna want to even use it.

It should be allowed to dye any backpiece, it restricts imagination and diversity.

On that same note, golden fractal skins are really hard to come by (luck) and yet they don’t have the awesome trail the normal fractal skins have, which makes them very lackluster. Is it possible to introduce a way to add that shiny gold trail to our skins? like infusing it or some other way (in case you don’t want to change the already existing skins to have a trail).
