So lately I’ve noticed an increase in maps using background scenery seen from a far distance, like for example I was in harathi hinterlands a few days ago and I was near the northernmost part of the map and I could see tall rugged mountains in the distance whereas before it used to be just fog/nothing. You can see a similar thing in maps like Snowden Drifts where there are tall mountains painted onto the sky and some areas of Ascalon where you can see plateaus way off in the distance (and I’m not talking about the actual physical areas of the map accessible to players. So I was just wondering if anyone else has noticed this. If it is a new effect I think it adds a lot to the overall scenery in these maps and I hope it’s incorporated more in the future.
