I am trying to get an ascended soldiers backpack and am really confused about how to get it. Can anyone help please?

So…what back do you want? Fractal? Mawdrey? Quiver? You have to be little more specific. What do you like to do ingame?

There are several ascended backpieces that give a choice of stat (one of which is soldier) some with a predetermined soldier stat. Here’s a list of the different ascended backpieces available to chose from.

Easiest is building one in the forge (Koss on Koss would be soldiers in this case, Quiver of a Thousand Arrows still allows for custom 1 time stats of choice I believe), but that will cost you quite a significant amount of gold.

Cheapest is probably a fractal backpiece, but that requires a big amount of fractal relics (1,850 frelics for basic ascended version), not really viable if you haven’t been running fractals regularly.

Mawdrey offers an interesting middle ground but will also set you back around 100-120g.

Finaly the Spinal Baldes backpieces have interesting skins but too will cost between 100-150g.

It basically boiles down to either spending gold or fractal relics at the moment. My personal recommendation would be to build towards mawdrey, since you get Mawdrey 2 for Bloodstone Dust destruction/conversion.
