Bad heal fix
I totally agree with this. I care not about NPCs and minions….Why would I ever want my heals to heal them first over my own teammates.
Is there any explanation to this completely off the wall change?
I’m guessing typo (or hoping at least)
East Coast, West Coast, Tarnished Coast is best Coast!
Well now rangers will be even more hated….
Seriously, I can full heal my pet with F4. I do NOT want my party heals going to my pet. I don’t even want my Healing Spring regen going to my pet if there are party members around.
No, it says “players’ minions and NPCs”
That means the ones YOU own, not the random NPCs that may be accompanying you. But it does likely mean that it will prioritize your minions over your party members. Personally as a minion necro, I love this, now I can use my staff to keep my minions alive without random other people stealing my regen proc.

No matter what the change was, a clear clarification needs to be made on this change.
Does this mean when I am solo that heals and boons apply to my minions and NPC’s?
Does this mean that all heals and boons that I cast apply to minions and NPC’s first over players that may be with me in my team?
Was this indeed a typo?
So I heal my illusions instead of my comrades?

Yeah, this is how I’ve interpreted it, as well. When you’re running about, especially in story or solo, you likely want to heal your summons and not the random folks that might be around you.
I suspect this won’t harm your ability to heal party members.
I think you guys are over reacting, from what I understand there is a limit to the amount of people who can receive the benefits from most spells. By allowing these heals to prioritize NPCs/minions that belong to you in a large fight like against Jormag’s Claw you don’t go off healing everything except what belong’s to you.
The word prioritize is used, not only or something else.
Heals priority should be human party member/player’s minions/everything else. If this “fix” prioritizes healing minions over human party members I feel it’s a backwards fix.

Hey all. There was a typo in that note. It has been fixed, here’s how the fix was actually applied:
- Area of effect heals and boons now prioritize players over minions and NPCs.
Oh thank goodness it was a typo. Thanks for letting us know!

Yeaaaah, that was confusing lol. Glad it was a typo.
Awesome! I was sweating over that one hahahaha
Minions are the last thing I’d be healing in combat.

Nice. Hope they can add party priority in future update.
