I wish there was a way for “Exotic and Above” gear to have their own bag.

It’s so annoying, trying to find a bag combination that will (bottom to top) put everything in the proper place.

If I just use plain equipment box for my main gear, when i’m killing mobs & auto-looting it puts white, blues, greens,yellows equipment “loot” in the box and fills the space for my weapons. Then when i switch weps since there’s no space, my main weapons get put in the top slots.
If i use exotic equip box Legendaries don’t go in the exotic equip box and i’m constantly shuffling them around to keep everything organized.

So when you go to click on a weapon and its not there you have to eyeball through your loot to find it. It’s annoying and time consuming when your on the go.

Why can’t Legendaries & Ascended be added to the exotic equipment boxes too.

or Add a new bag/box in the next Xpac that allows for “Exotic and Above” gear to be stored there first!

I find a lot of people start with full exotic gear and get there ascended or legendary weapons. Would make sense to have bags that reflect this playstyle.

edit: even with the fractal green and yellow equip boxes, blues and whites still clutter up the plain equip box.

edit edit: invisible bags won’t auto direct exotic thru legendary gear to that bag, you have to sort it manually, which is what i’m already doing and trying to avoid.

like said above “exotic equip box” does not auto direct Ascended and Legendary weapons to this box. They’ll get put in the next free space outside of this box.

Here is an idea of my bag layout. I’m a bit of a hoarder on my main

I could go “top to bottom” instead, but that would put 20 spaces of the starter back pack above then my 6 rows of gear and stuff. then more empty spaces. This just seems worse imo, for organizing.

The way i currently have it set up works pretty good when i have 2, 2H weapons equipped. No slots at the bottom are open. but when i switch to dual 1H weapons a slot opens up. If i loot any white or blue equipment it goes into that available slot. Then when i switch back to dual 2H weapons my 1H scepter or torch goes into the next avail slot outside of that bag.

It’s highly annoying to open your bag & have to manually switch this around so i can find it easily when your constantly in combat and only have fractions of a sec to switch when your ooc when running dungeons.

*and as mentioned above if i use the 20 slot exotic fractal equipment box in the last bag position my ascended and Legendary gear won’t be put in that bag. For this reason I really need an “Exotic and Above equipment bag” or allow ascended and Legendaries to be auto directed to the exotic bags.

Notes about the Pact Equipment Box:
1) I functions exactly like the Equipment Boxes crafted by Armorsmiths
2) It is _soul_bound on aquire, so must be crafted by the character to use it.

I’m beginning to think maybe there is something wrong with the coding for “Rodgort” the legendary off hand torch. Now i don’t have another off hand legendary to test this theory, but when i switch the [plain equipment box] with the [20 slot exotic fractal bag] to the bottom, i find that my ascended off hand focus goes into the exotic bag fine, but the Legendary torch never does.
Notice when ever i’m switching out weapons i’m click on the main hand one to switch.
So regardless the say “Scepter” will always switch with w/e 2H. It’s only the off hand legendary torch that never goes in the fractal exotic box, but the ascended offhand focus does.
hmmmm ANET please fix Rodgort to allow this.

Is it not possible to move the starter backpack further down? I know that still wouldn’t be ideal but it would enable you to put your stuff right at the top and then have all the loot appear under it.

Yup, you can move it to whichever bag slot you want.
