Balance Changes: Only for Raids and PvP?
I mean, obviously. Raids (high end PvE), WvW (which seems to be forgotten), and PvP are the only parts of the game where balance is such a big issue. It makes sense that most if not all balance changes would be directed at these parts of the game
Maybe I’m reading the changes wrong, but this is my perception of the most recent balance changes that we have waited months (MONTHS) for. Is this anybody else’s feeling as well?
This is exactly what I was feeling. If these skills were so unbalanced ain PvP then why where they left alone for WvW? Then they wonder why people feel Anet has an unprofessional treatment of the game mode and the those that play it. It feels like we were snubbed yet again.

Reading through the notes, a few of the changes are also for WvW. I’m also pretty sure the Epidemic change was made because of WvW.
There is a differnece between PvP and WvW. Anet does not want heavy bunkers in sPvP. Therefor they already removed most defensive amuletts. They nerfed several defensive abilities for sPvP only because that nerf is not intended to hit WvW where bunkers are sometimes even needed (just imagine a zergfight of glasscanons…).

Pointing out that a WvW was mentioned less than a handful of times only makes my point. It was literally a very small fraction. For a game mode in desperate need of balance it got very little.

Doesn’t change the fact there is severe need for balance in WvW and it was all but ignored for WvW. I guess I understand on the other hand as roaming is about all that’s left of the game mode.
But frankly WvW has much deeper systemic issues which need to be fixed, and those fixes would (likely) ruin all previously achieved balance anyhow.
Or in other words, there’s no point doing class balance before we have a Darkness Falls at least.
