Has there been any talk of PVE balancing because honestly it feels like if you want a slot in a party you have to be a specific class with specific build and armor and anything else is dead weight.

And if I wanted to run a fractal group, I could ask for all guardians or all elementals if I wanted to.

What’s your point?

The average group will take anyone. Maybe if they have two many of one class they will close it.

Blame the party, not Arenanet.

PVE is mostly balanced in terms of output, but not skill, certain classes are significantly harder than others. The only party that asks for ‘specific class with specific build and armor’ is next to none, you mean “LF warriors full zerks”, and that only happens in CoF path 1, every other dungeon path that I can think of has uses for things other than burst single target dps.

They usually have small balance patches every month with the new content but they’ve made it clear they’re not just going to go in and make massive changes and then have to constantly balance their balances. Everything is fairly balanced though with minor adjustments so don’t expect to ever see a big balance patch to be honest.

PvE doesn’t need to be so easy that you can succeed with any spec, but with any class setup yes.
Currently some classes are in a worse place like Ranger, Necro and Engi.
They can do some of everything but aren’t remotely as good as other classes in specific things.
I.E. a Ranger doesn’t offer much to your team unlike a Guardian.

They really just need to do a BIG split of PvP and PvE skills, all skills.
I want to see those 3 classes become very good to have in teams.

There’s a TA speed clear method that’s 3 ‘zerkers + 2 guardians…. it’s just less well known because ‘fast’ is relative, and it’s not as fast as CoF.

I’ve found a use for my necro — farming. She does better than my bunker ele, just as survivable and does more damage.

Have to agree that alot of classes just feels less desirable for alot of situations and it would be awesome to makes these more wanted.

And warriors are just insane when it comes to pve.

I have a confession I play an Engineer as my main which may be why I want change to happen. It is hard to hear about warriors in my party hitting 30k+and I’m hiding in back hoping for 3k. I get engineer is supposed to be a utility class blah blah blah. The thing is I like the class, its skills, and the general feel. So why cant I take the class I like and play as dps and be taken serious. I thought this game promised classes with no defined roles.
