Hmm now that i have looked at these pics you gave me a interesing idea about legendary armor. Smog that could be dyeable like in your pic would look amazing on legendary armor but the thing with legendary armor is that some might not like the basic look of armor desing.

I think it would be interesing for legendary armor to not have it own skin and instead we could put on any unlocked armor skin in our acc (say phalanx armor) on legendary armor with this smog dyeable effect. Kitten look guaranteed

You can also combine it with a (Black) Poly-luminescent Undulating Refractor gem to get black smoke smouldering from your character

The aura based on the divine fire from the last season 2 episode also creates an amazing effect.

I don’t understand why they insist on releasing things in the least usable way possible…

Particle effects are tied to gems so they can’t be used with ascended…
Aura’s are given to outfits which can’t be modified

Also didn’t they tell us it was impossible to have auras/effects dyable which is why radiant, molten, and toxic armors can’t be dyed?

The poly gem is like a blanket darkening/blackening of everything about your character, not really a dye

You can buy the dyes from Hylek heart npc in sparkfly fen.
Most cost a small amount of karma, red however costs 1 silver~ each.

The 4th dye channel that doesn’t seem to do anything should change the color of the inner fire glow…

And now that we are at it, the flame legion, flamekissed, radiant and hellfire armors ,and other armors with colored fires or glows show also have one dye channel that changes the color of the fire or glow.

It would be amazing if it would change the glow colour, but I don’t think it’s likely to happen personally. The Poly-luminescent Undulating Refractor Gem is probably the best we can do for changing it
