I recently bought the basic ore node pack and I was looking for it near my other nodes but it was all the way on the other side of my home instance. Is there any way to move them near my other nodes?

Nope, they are stuck where they are.

You can, however, go to any home instance. Human and Asura have the best layouts for the nodes. Human does mean approaching one tree from the direction of the Salma entrance so you get the Chop option before the skill point Commune pops up (if you have all nodes).
