Every time there’s a full marionette main or overflow I get lag. Not just a little. Just now I died and it took me several minutes to waypoint. It’s not my connection. All other online games work fine. My teamspeak was working fine even as I was getting 20 seconds+ plus worth of skill lag, rubberbanding to the point where I can’t move, etc….

I wait two hours for a marionette and it’s unplayable due to lag, and this has happened not once but several times. What’s more, others in my guild and teamspeak are having similar issues. I assume this isn’t what you want, right?

You need to be realistic about what your servers can and can’t handle when you design content.

withe the last release there has been a quite big frustration of the players relating to overflows guesting and loosing your spot on main when you DC. im wondering if anet will do something realistic about it.

I know what your talking about. Those problems started with me around the time the released the Tequatl updates and took of culling. Those changes made the game almost completely unplayable for me on my old laptop unless I stayed in low-pop areas which just isn’t fun because it meant I had to miss out on all the big events and all the loot the big bosses drop.

It finally culminated in me quitting the game completely for quite a while until finally my old laptop bit the dust and I got myself a gaming laptop, and now I can play it just fine. But before all that my old laptop could play the game just fine, sure I had a little lag, but it was playable. I shouldn’t have had to go out and get an expensive game laptop just to have the ability to play this game and enjoy it, it’s just ridiculous.

I generally agree. I can absolutely understand why ANet wants to create these massive events, but it often ends up feeling like they are designing for the hypothetical GW2 and not the actual GW2.
