I thought I’d create a topic based on the great landscapes of Tyria. They also make great desktop wallpapers.

These to start are a few from travels around Malchor’s Leap in Orr. Props to the art guys at AN for creating these great views.

Sidenote: One request though to AN – please add a first person mode, or at least add the option to disable character rendering when you take screenshots! I’ve had to get around this by placing the camera up against pieces of landscape so it tricks the view into first person – as you can see from one of the screenshots below my toons head is at the bottom :\

I don’t have any screenshots of my own to post at the moment, but I must agree – scenery is top-notch, from the colours to the structures… often has me staring around in wonder, just doing nothing.

It’s a shame the camera fov is so restrictive making it difficult to appreciate the environment properly.

One trick is to /sleep. That takes you below the camera range, though it still affects angles of view.
