Beauty of The Grove
You should have seen the High Elf and Wood Elf cities in EverQuest, or most of the Hibernia cities in Dark Age of Camelot, though I agree The Grove is beautiful (if a navigational nightmare).
It is beautiful! I only wish you could have the map music all of the time though it only plays in certain locations :/
The lower level with the lily pads and lighting is beautiful. I love to just zone out there when I can’t be kittened to play – it’s like sitting in an art gallery, except you have control over where you want to be in the painting.
I like the grove the least. It doesn’t feel like a city or any kind of inhabited place. The design is excessively repetitive and visually monotonous.
I prefer Rata Sum or Divinity’s Reach

Too much noise, half the time I run through the Grove, I end up checking under my desk for crickets and close the windows because of those kitten ed birds!

Ah…good old Kelethin, home of the Fier’dal where lag whilst riding the lift or running between platforms can necessitate a blind cr =)
I find Divinity’s reach to be more compelling than The Grove, but the Grove is quite beautiful. True of most of the game IMO.

Lag was a way of life (and death) in that city. So were games of Gnome Darts, Barbarians blocking the door to the bank, drunken sprinting across the bridges, and languages tutoring circles near the cultural forge. I miss pre-Luclin EQ. Though I don’t miss getting quad’d by the Bard trainer who happens to be a Monk and hates Dark Elves and anybody using a Mask of Deception :P
