whats up with that? I think its awesome, just strange its all at once. My 45 warrior is running into new players all over the zones in Ehm bay. A guild mate and I think its because people that bought FF14 at launch and didnt want to pay the sub price hopped over and got GW2. Thats really the only thing I can think of

Or just the fact that, despite all the hate and criticism from inside, Guild Wars 2 is a good and solid MMO.

Noticed an increase in new players as well.

This is pretty typical around this time of year for most MMOs when summer is over and school / college starts up again.

Most of the new players I have run into fall into that category.

People that bought it at launch, quit, returned, quit again. I’ve seen quite a bit of this lately. Generally, summer participation goes down in the northern hemisphere for mmo’s, have noticed that for many years. Early fall participation starts to rise again. So some people checking back in again. You may have also noticed the trials recently, happened when participation is often at it’s lowest point of the summer.
