Guild Wars 2

This is part of main questline and it is about the most stupid rediculous part of the whole game. I have done it with 7 previous chars and every time hated it and somehow got through it after about half hour of slugging beer down.

But now with my last character I have been at it for 3/4 hour and I am just sick of it.
What a stupid part of this game. I hate it. Maybe I have played this game for too long.

You mean the thing with the pirates? I loved that part. I don’t think it ever took me half an hour though.

I am guessing OP doesn’t play Belcher’s Bluff much…lol.

Better get used to drinking. It’s part of the education. Teaches you how to drink to not get sick. Gl&Hf Sir

Take a friend in. They can give you regen, heal you and damage/taunt him. Makes the whole thing a lot easier.

Although honestly I don’t think it wasn’t too bad and quite enjoyed the mission.

It’s a Tybalt mission, how could it not be enjoyable?

Challenge: do this quest while actually drinking IRL as it’s shown on screen.

Hm, I’ve done it first try back then. It’s actually not so hard. Also, if you don’t like it: Why don’t you join one of the other two orders for a change? Why do the same thing with 8 characters in a row?

…You did notice that the OP stated he’d done it 7 times already and was just sick of it, right?
I must admit that I really liked that mission, but I can understand how pretty much any story mission can get annoying and boring after 7 playthroughs…

If you get bored of a story line, maybe the solution is to not repeat it 7 times in a row :P

Learn the mechanics of poison and you’re set.

Why not make your toons anything other than Order of Whispers … or you are among the players that never read 1 line of the Personal Story and click in the 1st option that appear?

I really want to take up Fror’s challenge but I have a feeling it would not be my smartest move.

Yea, seriously, it’s an Order of Whispers mission as far as I’m aware, I don’t think he realizes you can choose not to do it by picking Vigil or Priory.

I joined a friend on this a couple of weeks ago. The regen I was giving out was also being applied to the NPC opponent, too.

I was pleasantly surprised for such a griefing opportunity to land in my lap

It was one of my favourite missions tbh. Very enjoyable. Only took around 10 minutes.

There has to be time for drinking. There always is time for it. Time comes with it.

I certainly haven’t done it 7 times, but I do like this mission simply because it is different. You might just need a different tactic if it takes 30 minutes.

Come to think of it why doesn’t the Vigil have an internal drinking competition? I would have loved to drink against Forgal.

Haha yeah I’d forgotten about that. I think I had to stand on the very edge of the boat so I didn’t apply regen to the opponent. Was a hassle but it made it easier for my friend.

Its ground-targeted so you can aim your regen so it hits your friend and not the enemy.

You did notice that he’s sitting on it for at least 45 minutes already, right? While it normally takes like 5-10 minutes? Obviously, he finds it hard to do.

And he also didn’t explain to us yet why he keeps joining the Order of Whispers on all of his characters when he hates that mission so much and there’s two other orders he could join instead.

Maybe he likes drinking, but not dying from it?

I love doing that one. Have done it over a dozen times.

All you have to do is wait the 20 secs on the belch timer without drinking.

Drink, hit 5. wait. wait. wait. wait. Drink, hit 5.

Rinse repeat.

I don’t find that part fun. But the one-liners and the resulting drunken state of some of the races are amusing.

Not quite as funny as the Sylvari personal story for Caladbolg, the greatsword. “…but the oozes, the OOZES!”
