Hi!

The missus and I have recently rediscovered our love for this game and esp. for the larger events, but it feels like Maguuma, on EU-friendly hours, is not sufficiently well-populated with skilled and active players that can compensate for our n00bishness to the point of letting us get through all the events successfully :o

Just wondering which the best English-dominated EU-friendly server is atm if we want to have more fun during these events quick answers would be very much appreciated with a free weekend coming up :o

For pve/living world : Desolation
For wvw : Seafarer’s Rest

I’m guessing there’s a high chance of ending up in overflow on these? If so, is it still fun?

Also, any particular hours with extra high activity?

Desolation seems to have made itself a name for the most ambitious PvE.

Unfortunately this means that you will be stuck on overflows more often than not when trying to complete any of the popular PvE events.

Yea, in Desolation, you will almost always end up on overflow doing the popular events and in SR, you won’t be able to go in WvW easily, lol. Popularity got it’s downsides xD

Alot of overflows in the Living story events, but for world bosses, champ farming and levelling your characters there’s always people around.

don’t go Desolation if you want to play Living World.
My friend has been on Deso since launch and he wants to transfer off because he hasn’t been on main server in months for any big event.

I hear very good things about Aurora Glade.

I am on Gunnar’s Hold and we are an awesome community but hit and miss as far as skilled players and big events.

I play on Aurora Glade and we’re alright. Good population for living story events and world bosses, but we’re not the well-oiled machine Desolation is. The overall skill cap is in the middle. There are many outstanding players, but enough inexperienced folks in any given event that we rarely consistently complete zerg content on the first few days.

Most temples in Orr are flipped several times a day except Balthazar which usually gets done weekly, near as I can tell.

All that said, the AG community is decent and we have a few fairly creative folks organizing server events from time to time.
