So while I wait for the expansion I have been logging in everyday to get the daily login reward. When all of a sudden it hit me why don’t I park all my characters by a JP chest and collect those. So my question is which Jp has the best reward chest or which would you recommend I park it at? Thanks!

• Sharkmaw Cavern in LA: masterwork or better x2 + universal upgrades x2
• Not So Secret in Gendarran: a couple of blade shards, blue gear x2, universal upgrade x1
• Skipping Stones in Southsun: I forget the loot; the main reason to park there is it’s close to a passiflora sometimes

Another place you should consider parking is at any permanent rich platinum vein. 10 plat ore / day is worth 15-20 silver.

The pirate jp in Lion’s Arch, Weyandt’s Revenge, has a Magnificent Chest. That’s where my level 20s are parked.

The Skritt city in Brisbane has 2 chests behind the Skritt king’s throne. They are easy to access, no jumping, but the area closes periodically whenever the Skritt King gets killed.

The Chest at Not-So-Secret will give you Blade Shards something to consider if you’ll need to make a Back piece.

LA jp, and be level 21-31….you can get silver doubloons that are going for about 1-2g each on the tpost atm

Indeed go for the la jp, you can easily get there by using a mesmer portal (People are offering them still all the time). You can view this vid ’ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jGE6p6rvNbI ’ to check out the mesmer portal to the 4th key fragment chest, but you can ofcourse pick a chest you like.

I usually leave mine at the Not So Secret JP chest. You get the blade shards, an extra piece of gear, and then there’s the chance of the doubloons with characters that are in the right level range.

I have an alt account (4 level 35s) parked at Sharkmaw for doubloons and my main account (11 level 80s) parked at Not So Secret for blade shards.

Sharkmaw guarantees two pieces of gear, two upgrades (rare chance for one or both to be Silver Doubloons), and one mysterious package (with a ruined wintersday ornament worth 1s, rare chance to drop a glittery ornament worth 10s); Not So Secret guarantees 2 blade shards (rare chance to drop 10~15), two pieces of gear, but only a chance of 1~2 upgrades.

It depends largely on what you want to get, Sharkmaw is better if you’re not interested in making spinal blade backpieces while Not So Secret is only good if you have lots of characters to park there (otherwise it might be better to just farm the aetherblades).

I had a bunch of characters parked at Weyandt’s Revenge, they all got warped out after the new LA cutscene, and I haven’t felt like moving them all back. If you park at a chest in the open world there’s less of a chance of that happening, something to consider.

Yeah that’s a consideration for sure. I had several up there and had to get them back, which was a pain. Hopefully the expansion won’t kick them off again.

Still I prefer the lions arch jumping puzzle, especially if you are a mesmer. You can port people up when you have some spare time and earn some gold.

If you need Empyreal Fragments, consider Morgan’s Spiral.

Consider yourself lucky then. I used to relog my character quickly on a map to hop instances and I always get ported to a specific WP on the map. For Teq, it’s always the one in the NE corner. For Mount Maelstrom, it’s always the one at the top center. For Rata Sum, it’s the WP by the laurel vendor.

I used to think it was a bug, but with how consistent and replicable it is, I’ve started to believe that it was intentional.

I have several chars parked at the pirate jp and log in and out fairly fast. This has only happened once and seems to have been a glitch. I went to PvP and back and the game didn’t catch the completed change in position. Maybe you have some corrupted files or something.

I have tons of alts parked at JP and have never had this happen once over the past 3 years. Gonna have to call nonsense on this one. The only time I’ve ever been knocked out is when the “teleport to miniature” code was implemented so that when you logged in you teleported to where your mini was standing and when the new LA was changed and it moved everybody.

Well then it’s something specific to me only as I cannot relog without being bumped to a WP. I had repaired the files recently but I’ll try it again.

Edit: These are other people having the same issue. I guess I’ll go back to thinking it’s a bug since it’s not affecting you. The OP can ignore my posts since it may not apply to them.

Picking puzzles associated with last year’s Grawnk quest will give you a chest with broken ornaments worth 1 or 10 silver in addition to your normal loot.

Dry Top puzzle has an ancient wood next to it 50% of the time

Frostgorge sound has a rich mithril node 50% of the time and an ancient wood sometimes

Snowden drifts (jalis refuge) has a quick event next to it. That will give you double credit when reward tracks get implemented (and it’s hard to find events in Snowden drifts)

Another thing you can do is park your character in kessez hills in the NW corner. There is a toxic node there. (it moves daily, but not very far). Pristine Toxic Spores are 9 silver (chance to mine 4-8 in one hit) and the node can be mined, not once per day, but once every 20 minutes.

I like the Pirate one in Lions Arch. Not only does it give you the 1 or 10 silver, broken ornament but also greens (and the occasional rare gear at high level) instead of blues or occasional green like Urmaug’s. It’s possible to get 2 silver doubloons at one time and the level 20 green light armor is worth up to 10 silver.

Yup. I have 2 lvl 22 alts parked in the pirate JP for the double universal upgrade. I have dropped two silver doubloons a few times already.

The note there says to guest for more, but getting to another shard doesn’t allow the same char to harvest the same permanent node twice. It will give you access to more of the regular nodes. In addition, guesting is no longer reliable since they put in megaservers. What does usually work is getting to a map during a meta boss event, waiting for it to end and the map to ask you to volunteer to go to another shard.

The doubloons are also very nice.
