I just want to thank Arenanet for providing the MMORPG playerbase with the best video game on the market today. Stunning game. I have played every major MMO since the early 2000’s and I can say this is the cream of the crop. Good job and thank you! Much Love!
P.S. Haters gonna hate and potatoes gonna potate…but haters and potatoes are not intelligent.

Agree with game is an awesome value! and im like 100 hours in and love it. Peopel always whine in MMo’s. they also let dumb hingskitten them off. Honestly this game is not perfect but the good parts are just so good.
it is a great game. but i feel it was rushed and quite a lot of the content wasn’t actually tested thoroughly.
i never had so much love for a gaming company to enjoy this game so much ..too bad the d3 whiner community is infesting the forums
yes game is awesome until you get to 80, fullequipped with some exotic sets of gear for different purposes, fancy skins from dungeons etc and 50g on the bank.
then come and tell us again its the best mmo.
Best MMO is subject to opinion, what suits one person may not suit the next, but that aside, I agree – I have played many many games and none has grabbed me as much as this. The Dynamic Events are excellent, and world pvp is fantastic, and the art in the game is truely amazing.

Can’t we all just agree with this? I’m copy/pasting it as my new signature.
I kind of agree, it is one of most enjoyable MMOs i’ve played this year.
Although i think few people talk abit bad cause there expecting alot from the game even though its only been out short while.
I for one am fairly happy with what game offers so far and i’m sure new things will come in future, so yeah very enjoyable so far. :]
i agree with the way point prices being far to high. other than that this is most injoyable experience I’ve had with a mmo and years. As for the bugs when you have games that are on such a large scale as a mmo bugs should be expected in the first months.
I agree, I don’t enjoy the others.
Best MMORPG on the market….this isn’t about opinions…this is a fact move along potatoes…
I’m loving the game as well and people complain, but I’ll be patient and see what there is to come and hope for the best.
same feeling with OP
i think ppl who are complaining and whining everytime nerf patch given, aren’t rly enjoying the game in its truest form
My character is level 80 now and I am still having fun in this game. I have so much left to do. I’m so glad I didn’t rush through all of it. The game is still wonderfully fun for me.
Love the game!
We get to play about 2 hours or so each day. And it’s been great fun!
My gf and I are just about to reach 60.
Pace is nice, game play feels good. And the variety of activities is refreshing.
Some tweaks and bug fixes will just make this game better.
GW2 is the most discussed game on the best MMO review and news site so GW2 must be the best MMOG right now.
I feel like potato fries today!
I hit 80 a couple days ago and still only 46% map completion, there’s a ton of zones I haven’t entered yet and I’ve barely scratched the surface in dungeons. I have 902 achievement points and countless jump puzzles left to solve. My dye collection isn’t looking too shabby at 152 dyes and I have tailoring up to 350.
Game is stunning gorgeous, a true work of art. Exploration is amazing, I’m continually delighted with the things and places I find. And the world boss dragon fights! That’s how they are supposed to be done!!
Sure I’ve encountered a couple bugs but I’m not stressed about it, it’s expected when you launch a MMO this massive. I report them and move on, doesn’t stop me & my guildies from having fun
Best $60 I ever spent. Really happy with the game.

so in order to be objective we need to say the game is decent …i however find everything in the game exactly to my personal preferences, found the right section to report minor bugs, and refrain from complaining about personal taste that others might like

I am absolutely loving the game, despite all of it’s issues.
I just like to pretend I’m still playing in beta, like all MMO releases. Just want to see the game grow and improve, so I post as much feedback as I can.

great game but far from the best
Agreed. By far the best MMO released in years.
Been MMOing since 1997 or something; it’s one of the best releases i’ve ever seen.
A little lacking in the dungeon department (chaotic/boring at the moment) and high level content should have been made available for testing due to bugs (which will of course be ironed out and are getting resolved) but other than that: top notch.
No. Its not the best mmo on the market. That title is still reserved for WoW. Before you bash me, no, i have not played WoW for many years now. But you cannot deny the level of content and polish WoW has.
That said, IF Anet can get their kittens together. Then this game definitely has the POTENTIAL to be the best MMO on the market.

I played wow for years, and while I would say it definitely has a huge amount of content (and despite the fact I’ve long since moved on from it, I can still respect it), it doesn’t necessarily represent the pinnacle of design. It’s a great game, let’s agree on that at least, and still has a place in my gaming heart.
I think GW2 improves upon a lot of the failings of wow, and so I think it’s fair a lot of people can subjectively say it’s the best on the market. Subjectively though, to each his own. To me, it has a much greater emphasis on exploration and grouping on the fly, is much more dynamic, etc. and so that defines a better game than what wow has to offer.
You could also argue that Rift is up there in the top three, as it has also taken a lot of design from wow and iterated on it, but it doesn’t bring all that much new to the table, aside from their own version of dynamic content.
Love this game!
Have played all of the major mmo’s over the years and this one is very unique.

WoW the best? Seriously? Is being popular the same as being the best now?

Considering how vague “best” is. Yes in the sense that best = most successful.
It’s a subjective word. Someone’s “best” game might still be Everquest.
gw2 is the break freaking kitten meow mmorpg out there
I got a D in my College Algebra my freshman year in college. I thought the professor was subjective and that I deserved a better grade because I never received a test grade lower than a C (apart from the unknown final). Unfortunately, it turns out his decision was objective no matter how you put it because my university punished me by limiting me to 4 classes per semester the upcoming semester. This in turn resulted in me having to take summer classes which screwed up my life plans.
Lesson: Real world has standards. MMORPG world has standards. GW2 currently meets the highest standards of a “fun” and “innovative” mmorpg on the market. Deal with it, and accept it.

In your opinion of course. I personally never considered WoW the best. I personally feel Everquest was the best, but that in no way means it was the best for everyone.
So, everyone needs to stop speaking for the masses and speak for the ONE person you have a right to speak for…yourself. And yourself only.
Agree, I’ve been extremely impressed with this game thus far. Wish I could devote more time playing with work/school but I have definitely enjoyed the game!!!!
Thank you!

Yes, ofcourse, everything is a matter of opinion and should have stated it that it was an opinion.
I think GW2 has awesome potential, but right now, i do not think its the best. Let us wait and see how it grows and matures.
This game is definitely the best mmo out on the market. If you look at it in its entirety: the improved approach to mmo questing, the incredible art direction, the amazing music, the lack of a subscription fee, the breathtaking original fantasy world, the many other good ideas implemented that other mmos have, and the respect that this game has for its players even before they hit 80, Guild Wars 2 is hands down the best mmo you can buy today. I’d even go as far as to call it the best online game you could buy right now, but that might rile some people.
I agree that this is the best Massively Mulitplaying Online Role Playing Game (MMORPG) on the market today. I would hope that everyone playing Guild Wars 2 would think so. The game has broken new ground into the market of MMORPG’s with all of the features it has. I wonder what the first expansion will have?
Best MMo of all time = SWG, closely followed by EQ1.
I think GW2 is my 3rd favorite all time mmo.
Not too shabby when one considers the competition.
DAoC is still my favorite MMO of all. I’d say WoW is next. If GW2 can clean up their end game, it has the potential to pass up WoW on my list of best MMOs.
I played the game in the beta’s and I have been playing since early start on head-start.
I adore this game, it gave me everything I was hoping for and more- so yes. it is the best MMO I have played – thanks Anet!
I can see myself playing it for years.

Amen brother! preach it! HELP US! THAT IS RIGHT!
Until someone has actually played them all (MMO’s) they really aren’t in a position to say that one is the best. Just because Toyota Corolla has sold more cars than any other does not mean it is the best either.
GW2 is just fine however and is continuing to offer me loads of fun and good value for my money. Not much more you can ask of any MMO.
While I won’t state which MMO’s I think are best, I don’t think I could go back to WoW now that I’ve played GW2.
I think that many people that hate on GW2 for various reasons (no grinding allowed, lack of the holy trinity, no end game raids) do so because they have been trained to view fun within a very specific mindset. The gear treadmill and never ending daily quests is all that many people know. I experienced this, and was hesitant at first to purchase GW2. However, the focus on experiencing content rather than just rapidly digesting content is the most significant and novel approach to the genre that has come about in years.
I’m really looking forward to seeing how the game and community will develop in the coming years.

Standards of a “fun” and “innovative” mmorpg are subjective. What you find fun and innovative may not be so to someone else.
I’m having a blast and feel that I’ve gotten way more than my $150 worth. Endgame schmendgame, there’s a great game here, and that’s all that matters.
I agree, but I’m only level 30. I hope it’s still fun at level 80.
So many opinions on end game whom havnt even made it yet. “END GAME’” my friends is what you have after your geared and have 100%.
Why do people feel the need to insult people for not having the same opinion as them. Someone who likes something different isnt less intelligent because of it. Fine you like the game, someone else doesnt which is also fine.
Last time I checked Guild Wars 1 is still on the market and considered an MMO. So yeah, I’m afraid Guild Wars 2 isn’t gonna get the cake.
Sure a lot of you will beg to differ about GW1 being a MMO, but I guess that makes GW1 even more awesome. You know why? Because it has won trophies for best MMORPG without being one! Epic huh?
Wrong, endgame doesn’t start at 100% map completion, i couldn’t give less kitten about “exploration”, right now there are 4 endgame activities in GW2:
But i have to agree with the OP, it was the best game i played in years, the way to 80 was great but now that i’m there it’s more boring then playing tetris. I realy hope they manage to turn the endgame content to something that actualy makes fun.
so glad i am off the hamster treadmill that is current WoW and on the breathtaking, take your time and smell the roses meandering trail that is this awesome game
If you are calling this the best MMO with only 4 weeks of playing it, you are delusional, this game is nothing new, its Warhammer+Diablo sugar coated with nice graphics, WoW is and forever will be the best MMO in the market, 8 years and running baby!
