Best advice: Ask Blizzard [Bots everywhere]
Botting has been a problem from day one and they have done nothing about it but ban a few players. Don’t expect them to fix it any time soon!
I’ve always wondered how WoW manages to keep them in check. They obviously exist, I used to see messages and get mail and stuff, but you never see them.
They farm in instances maybe? In any event, bots own GW2.
WoW has plenty of bots, most use speed hacks where you can’t see them, but they’ll sure nab up your nodes before you could even see them. Not to mention everything is instanced in WoW practically or phased. Just because you can’t see them doesn’t mean they don’t exist. Every game is plagued by Bots, not to mention the sheer amount of gold spammers in WoW. You’re just turning a blind eye cause you can’t see therefore it must not exist.
As long as basic mats generate the best gold to effort ratio the NRCL (Naked Ranger Conga Line) will continue to exist and work for the goldsellers
Blizzard have a rather infamous program called Warden that is well known to essentially spy on your pc muchlike any Spyware does, this helps them track down people who are running malicious software but at the same time invades the privacy or legitamate players.
it’s a fine line you have to walk.
Hehe, I know they wont fix, im just sad about the situation. All company fail to stop botters except Blizzard… I just find that lame situation.
I wish this game to be exactlly like that, but developped and hosted by Blizzard.
Hello,
First of all, thank you for your feedback, it’s appreciated. The botting issue is one of our top priorities at the moment, and our team is working very hard to find the best way to solve this.
But as we explained, we want to give you an update about that only when everything will be setup, not before.
Thank you for your understanding & patience."
