Best heavy armor combo for human female
Buy plate bikini. 100% effective in combat
Depends on what type of look you’d consider ‘best’, really.
Do you like a more refined, traditional plate look? Some skin showing? Spikes and fire everywhere?
Time is a river.
The door is ajar.
If you’re looking for just looks, have a look at the Primeval skin in the gem store. Probably the nicest human female heavy armor I’ve seen in the game, that actually looks like armor and not lingerie. Not that I have a problem with the skimpy armor, but I have little kids and armor that looks like armor is just a better choice.
The level 40 reinforced scale armor is nice looking on a human female too. It dyes very nicely. I’m currently level 51 and I like it much better than the level 50 gladiator armor. So, I used some of those copious amounts of transmutation stones to transmute the look. Have a look, it’s a nice looking armor at any level, though it could use a different helm, so I tend to hide the helm.
Depends on your personal taste. Preview all the available armour and weapons on Dulfy and the wiki, get the codes for the ones you like and see how they’d look on your character. I like to go with a general theme when I decide on armour. My human male guard is Canthan (Dragon Jade weapons and a mix of Braham’s and Draconic armor) and I love it, it’s ‘distinctive’ but still class appropriate.
If I wanted to build a more traditional type guardian I’d go for a mix of the pauldrons you get in character creation, Durmand Priory gear and maybe throw some Phalanx/CoE pieces in as well. Either mystic weapons or Pact (for the skin).
The Primeval skin is also quite nice for full coverage, would go well with Godskull weapons. The shoulders, gloves and boots also work pretty well with Gladiator armour if you prefer a skimpy look.
You might want to have a look at this site as well.

Draconic pants is main thing

Few sets I like:
- T3 – Typical, but saucesome.
- Koda (HOTW)
- Barbaric (60+ Fine/Masterwork craftable)
- Braham’s
As for dyes, Pyre or Charred are fantastic and I love ’em. Look at that gold, just look at it!
Mixing and matching is so tough in the game, due to armors all dying differently along with different textures.

Just go to the sPvP locker and test each combo because nobody really knows what you are looking for. If you really want to make your character stand out, you need the dredge armor from sorrows embrace because that thing is so ugly I would never even remotely think about using it. Slap on some awkward brown, yellow, green and magenta dye and there you go. I guarantee you won’t find anyone else on your server with the same look. This will certainly give you a certain unique feel.
Anyway: If you like a quick overview of each armor skin, guild wiki is your friend:

I had the same problem. I didn’t want platemail bikinis, but I also didn’t want something completely manish. I went Banded armor with human T2 shoulders for a while, sort of going for a Ragnarok Online swordswoman look.
Eventually, I found that I prefered steampunking her, so I went with Aetherblade and ended up using this for a base: http://www.gameskinny.com/cdgze/announcement-winners-of-the-guild-wars-2-fashion-contest/8
Head – hidden
Shoulders – hidden (Priory can work well)
Chest – OoW
Legs/boots/gloves – Aetherblade Heavy
Weapons – OoW line. They mostly “fold up” and fit the look pretty well.
I may go different gloves/boots later on, but for now I’m just playing with colors to get things the way I want. I’m feeling like moving away from showing armor that can be hidden and trying to work sort of a “ground up” start minimalistic-like and go from there. Really, the only things you have to show are chest, legs and boots.
They had to SPAWN MORE OVERFLOWS!
T3 Cultural
Phalanx set from BLTP
Arah armor set
Draconic set looks good too.
HoTW pants looks great.
CM set looks okay. Except for shoulders.
Main thing is that skins are cheap

I have tried/searched for all the Heavy Armor skins, and the only ones I’ve found enjoyable to look at were the Human Cultural T3 and Draconic.
Try full Draconic Set + Dark Pauldrons (WvW skin, Orr Random Karma Vendors, among others).
Dyes I use is Silver on the plate + Celestial/White on clothes/outer scales. Matches nicely with the Seraph Shield skin…
Eh sorry I’m not going to bother to crop the image, so there’s an foreign Elementalist in this pic as well.
I am the most aesthetically appropriate Guardian in the game.
…and my warrior tacked on.
