CoF path 1 zerker speed runs for quick profits. Gear doesn’t really drop, it needs to be farmed in specific places over preset period of time depending on what you want.
I used to be completely against magic find, but I wanted to see first hand to have an actual opinion, so I got a magic find set for Pentient/Shelter farming. I don’t have statistics to back it up but I can really tell the difference from the quality of loot I get. I am still completely against MF in dungeons and use it only for cursed shore farming. Also, I run fractals, cof, and other dungeons, Coe charged drops are nice, and do some world events, mostly when I’m in between something, I don’t farm them like some do though.
I farm world events 24/7, nothing else is easier and gives similar rewards, why would anyone bother with open world for hours and get nothing, when you can do world events and get something..even dungeons give trash rewards..
I would never touch Fotm no matter what rewards they add, its terrible..
I only go to fotm to get free ascended rings for my alts. Apart from that, cof 1, and open world. the rest of the time I just wvw or level my alts or go afk in LA :p

The best loot is world events followed by dungeon/fractals speedruns and WvW.
WvW has totally crap loot and eats your cash, sure, but there have been a lot of reports of percursors dropping there lately, and the oversized grub has dropped some interesting things.
WvW is actually fun and requires strategy though. World events generally disappoint with single rare yields in 20-50 minute wait periods so farming CS is actually better than World Events.
