Should I be using it as I level at <3 vendors, or is there something later on its better to save for?

I believe there are exotics and nifty skins you can get later with karma. Or mats for professions. I always find better stuff on the TP or through loot as upgrades. I never buy gear from <3’s. Last time I spent karma on an item.. was a nice speargun for underwater.... 2 minutes later finding an even better speargun. /facepalm

Late game they do have exotic armour karma vendors that give out some nice gear, but it’s 42,000Karma PER piece. It’s up to you really. Ive been spending a little karma here and there and I have about 40,000 left so I’m working on getting a piece of the armour set I want.

The 42k requirement is a mind boggling sum. I think the number was only chosen for it’s symbolism. So far I’ve only bothered spending karma on wvw gear to make it easier on my wallet.
