Hi there,

Having just come back after leaving about a month after release (life happened) I’m looking at starting fresh on a new server as mine is.. Well..

Anyways, I’m mainly looking at WvW and don’t really care for PvE in GW2 that much, however I’m willing to invest the effort needed to get to 80.

What’s the fastest way to get there? WvW XP isn’t exactly amazing and I don’t want to take up a slot that could be used by someone who is credit to team..

You can level up in WvW and it is actually the fastest way to do so…if your server has a zerg going that you can join the majority of the time…

If no zerg then you will after level up in PvE. Even a group of 5 would not be particularly effective as you could only really take camps, caravans, guards and the odd tower. Its stonemist and keeps that really give that xp boost.

The secret to levelling effectively is keeping your equipment up to date and I mean ALL equipment, plus apple/spanner buff. I recommend going power/vitality till level 60. Then at 60 go berserker, power, precision, crit. damage till 80.

With a fairly constant zerg you can easy go from 0-80 in a week. Buy your equipment from the TP, you can do it easy enough in blue gear.

Use all soldier armor to get a lot of vit and tough.

Depending of your profession choose the most Area damage weapon set (AOE).

Go to eternal battle field map, find a commander (blue Dorito icon in the map) and join the zerg.

Try to hit all the enemies you can to get the kill bonus when hes dead.

That is all, the key is to be always in a zerg and hit as many enemies you can, it doesn’t matter if you don’t kill them directly you will get the bonus if you do enough damage.

If you have some gold you can craft and get the first levels very easy, then move to WvW.

So WvW would be the fastest way?

Now assume our server has no decent zerg going and we get wiped more often than not…

On a sidenote, where do I get the soldier armor?
