I never tried to get a Portal (since my luck is abysmal), but this really doesn’t seem like a proper beta test. It’s far more like a limited preview of the game. I’m not 100% on the details, but you can’t explore or find many bugs if you’re limited to 2 hour blocks…

“Testing will begin on May 26, and will run in 2 hour blocks with breaks between each block. The schedule is as follows:

11:30 a.m. Pacific Time (UTC-7) to 1:30 p.m. Pacific Time (UTC-7)
3:30 p.m. Pacific Time (UTC-7) to 5:30 p.m. Pacific Time (UTC-7)
7:30 p.m. Pacific Time (UTC-7) to 9:30 p.m. Pacific Time (UTC-7)"

It also kind of seems like a slap in the face to the people who worked for entire days of playtime grinding and farming for one.

Why is everyone so ready to take offense. If you worked for entire days of playtime grinding and farming for one, that was your decision. This is the first closed beta. Those are typically limited in number and time. If you didn’t know that and how long it was is important to you, you should have asked first about typical first beta time lengths. It’s not necessary either to be offended for other people. Let them be offended on their own.

It is not a bug-finding beta but mainly a stability one.

It also seems rather clear that the area that are accessible is rather small, so 3*2 hours should be plenty of time to run through all or at least most of it several times.
