You’re not supposed to show these with the link in them. Might want to photoshop that out, or use PAINT with a black-bar. Either way, get that link gone. And this isn’t nothing new either.

I’m scared

not of the scammers, but for the community. It seems every day one of these posts needs to be made, to post the same thing of showing a false in game mail, with the yellow words at the bottom saying its not from anet.

Does this need to be posted daily? Do the forums always have to have at least ONE thread of something like this posted on a daily basis?

There is more information about these mail scams in the red stickied thread above.

Be careful what you ask for
ANet may give it to you.

every game has scammers like this .. blizzard warns and warns people and still people will do stupid things (the scammers would stop if people stopped following idiotic instructions)

This game is no different than all the rest other than it is FTP after the initial purchase (the $10 sale was perhaps a bad idea as it gave scammers and cheap way in BUT it might also add players to the game which makes the game last longer long run wise)..

Don’t let it worry you JUST remember basic security and there is nothing the scammers can do .. well besides annoy the heck out of you (they do this from time to time to me but it is easy enough to ignore repeatedly )

Yep, the “this is not from ANet” as the bottom should be enough for people to know its bs. Also if you have a in game male from ANet, it has the red ANet logo next to it.
