should i be happy to see gw2lfg.com full of “LF1M”? it could be that the last spot was the vacant spot after they kicked someone. it could be that its a guild/friend team which could kicked you when youre almost done to accomodate their other guildmate/friend who just logged on. kitten the hell that 1M could be someone that they can just toy around with and kick if he reacts to them.

I’ve been that 1m many times and not once have I been kicked. I also am not a brain dead player and I know how to most, if not all content I’m joining in on.

I’m a Moose, a ginger moose even.

Way to use an instant negative mindset.

I play with my family at times. There is only four of us. We can do some dungeons with just the four of us, but sometimes we like to have that one extra. So we always advertise for LF1M for anyone that wishes to join us.

We are not mean or rude or troll anyone. We are a very friendly bunch, we just like to invite someone to fill that extra slot and maybe make a new friend in the process.

Don’t think everyone is out to get you just cause they are looking for one more.

It’s generally wise to at least be a little wary about things like this. Especially notorious explore paths that are often sold to the public after beating a particularly tough boss… However, I can also safely say that I have done plenty of LF1M and have yet to be kicked.

How well does that 4 man work for you guys? Must be rough with the latest anti zerg patch. If you all need a 5th, I’m generally always available! I play pretty casually myself going to college and all… Don’t have any friends that play either. Love the game, but man can it get lonely..

You should be happy to see an active gw2lfg.com.

I used “LF1M” regularly, even when I was just starting a group. People are more likely to make a quick decision to join when they feel that the group creation process won’t be time consuming; “LF1M” plays into that.

Besides, I’m always LF1M, and then one more after that, and another, and so on until the group is full.

it could be that its a guild/friend team which could kicked you when youre almost done to accomodate their other guildmate/friend who just logged on. kitten the hell that 1M could be someone that they can just toy around with and kick if he reacts to them.

You sound a little bit paranoid. If it’s such a concern, take note of who listed the gw2lfg.com posting, and avoid joining their groups again in the future.

Eh, the whole zerg thing never affected us really. We voice chat when we play together and know most of the fights already. So we are pretty good at staying alive and making the best of our resources. Just gotta learn to coordinate properly and work together and you’ll never have to worry about dying and zerg rezzing.

I have been kick as well by a party. They were looking for one more to do 24. Since with the new update, I can do it even my fotm is 22. So I join and told the party that I only have 5 ar. If that is ok. They all say fine. I die only two time during the run to the end boss. We kill all mob as well and then they kick me. I was a little angry at the fact, but I got some good loot.

Now, I kind of am scary in joining random groups. I think I sure always play with guildmate or people that I know.

What? are you saying you can kick in fractals without penalty? I thought they would have thought about this issue? Now i’m scared to party with anyone in fractals if they can do that

I haven’t had chance to do any dungeons with this new patch, but I am dungeon lower.

Known issue is that most people go to guilds and using it as a chat hub instead providing healthy base of likeminded players. I have changed several guilds and always had to do dungeons (from AC to FotM) with PUGs. In my opinion, this is not the point of the guild and I think if ANet didn’t overlook this issue but put it deliberately, is to encourage more of guild unity. I am not sure this is the right way…

One thing is sure – http://gw2lfg.com/ is full of LF1M

I too look out for the notorious “lf1m”, especially when the group is mid way through a dungeon (especially sketchy if the group is at a difficult bit) because what i think when i see is it that the group was so terribly incompetent that someone rage quit midway through – there have been several times when i am right.

Some times happen that we are 4 guild mates and we are LF1M.
We find some one… but he is completly noob… so, why risk to waste time and money (repair) just for one idiot??

We try to be understanding… we try to explane tattics and game play…
but some time is impossibile.
So… kick an bye bye.

I remember a guy in HotW without any kind of “water weapon”!!
When we asked why, he answered “I am pvp”…
So… why should we keep him?
We don’t need an unarmed player if the last boss is under water…
Just kick… and let’s take some one else.
He deserve it. :P

So… if you are a good player, nobody will kick you.

Sorry for the spelling mistakes, is not my language. :P

This a thousand times over. A friendly guild with a team using a chat program really makes the dungeons muh more fun and it is not too hard to skip out in a 5th member with good coordination.

LF1M means just that – they need one more person. There’s nothing inherently sketchy about it. In fact, I prefer joining LF1M groups because I know we’ll be able to start the dungeon immediately after I join.

I honestly, since release, have never had a case where I joined a group and was kicked maliciously for anything. After maybe 500 dungeon/fractal runs.

Not that I claim it doesn’t happen, I’m sure it does, but it just isn’t something worth caring about.

If you’re really unlucky and it does, think “Those guys sucked, heh” and just try again and you’ll be fine.
