I have faced the Vinewrath twice now with cyrstals and eye. Nothing happens. This is the very last item on the list before I get the “recipe” for completing The Legend.

With the money and resources already spent, I could have simply bought The Bifrost and I admit being unhappy that this final step does not appear to be working.

Does anyone know some bizzare dance or similar thing I have to do to get the Vinewrath’s light?

Here’s what the wiki says on it…
" Stand in the Vinewrath’s beam attack after double-clicking the Jade Maw’s Eye Lens with a Quartz Crystal in your inventory. The Quartz Crystal will be consumed.
This trophy can be obtained right as a Siege Carrier opens the wall and the Vinewrath shoots its laser, during the Protect the siege carrier and its ammunition portion of the Mordrem Vinewrath event chain. It’s advised to stand against the vine wall and have the Jade Maw’s Eye Lens ready when the Siege Carrier blasts the wall down."

The beam it’s referring to is the one the Vinewrath fires out through the entrance when a lane first opens.

The best way to get it is to make sure you’re just behind the carrier when it breaks down the final vine wall to open the path to the Vinewrath, and you apply the buff from the Jade Maw Eye Lens just as the carrier breaks down the wall. I think the beam does a little bit of damage, most people try to avoid it but it’s nothing to worry about so just stand in the centre of the lane and let it hit you.

Once you’re inside the ‘arena’ fighting the boss in front of the Vinewrath it’s too late. But I think you can complete the achievement by going to another lane when it opens, even if it won’t let you go in. (So maybe start in the bottom lane so you get at least 2 more chances if you miss it the first time.)

Some other common problems, although I doubt these are affecting you since you’ve done all the other steps:

• You need a Quartz Crystal, not a Charged Quartz Crystal.
• You need to double click the Eye Lens so it gives you a buff before the beam hits you, just having it in your inventory is not enough.

Thanks to both, I’m still trying for it.

Also, try to stand on some higher place, especially if your character is Asura. There are places which are too low, where Asura is not hit by the beam.

I’ve just come back from my 4rth and 5th attempts. I started with 25 charged quartz crystals and 250 quartz crystals and was hit beyond any doubt. I jumped into the center of the beam.

No result.

Ah, that would be the problem then.

Put the Charged Quartz Crystals in your bank, make sure you have only the Uncharged version in your bags.

(You can have any other stuff you want with you, just not Charged Quartz Crystals.)

Maybe try sepparating a stack of 1 quartz crystal.
